1. CLINTON AND TRUMP CRITICIZE TULSA POLICE SHOOTING

In the wake of the publication of a video of the Tulsa killing of a black man by a police officer and the subsequent riots in Charlotte, North Carolina, the two rival candidates for the White House, Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton, both reacted sharply to the killing. Clinton called it "horrible" and "unbearable" and called for the implementation of national standards for police shootings while Trump also said he was "very troubled" by the killing.
Speaking in Florida, Clinton opened her speech by referring to the two police shootings in Tulsa and Charlotte. She read out the names of those killed, Terrence Crutcher in Tulsa and Keith Lamont Scott in Charlotte, and said that "We have two more names to add to the long list of Afro-Americans killed by police officers in these encounters."
Clinton also mentioned her connection with the mothers who had lost children in similar circumstances and said: "We can manage things in a better way as indeed we will do - together- if I am elected President." However, she admitted that she did not know how to solve the problem.
Trump's camp are placing the emphasis on the need for law and order. Campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told Fox news that "loss of life is tragic and I I feel like we all should be looking at it non-partisanly, not even bipartisanly, if you will."
Clinton "doesn't pass up a moment to weigh in and try to score points or score votes," according to Conway.
Until now Trump has given his full support to police in every case of a shooting, citing their dedication to maintaining the peace.
However lately he has been trying to widen his voter base to blacks and this may have influenced his response to recent events.
After watching the Tulsa video, Trump said that the man's hands were in the air and he "seemed to do whatever you're supposed to do, he looked like a really good guy." He hinted that the policewoman who shot Karcher had been nervous and might be unsuitable for her job.
The police claimed that Karcher did not obey her instructions and she thought he was putting his hand in the car to take something out. They added that ecstasy drugs were found in his car.

2. AZARIA'S LAWYER SAYS IT'S NOT A FAIR TRIAL
by Arutz Sheva Staff
Eyal Beserglick, the defense attorney for Elor Azaria, told Arutz Sheva in a special interview this morning that the trial is being conducted in a horrible way. He says that the testimonies are untruthful and that he is disturbed by the conduct of the witnesses and the ability to do justice.
"We, on the defense, have broken down the basis for all arguments presented by the prosecution," he stated.
Beserglick explained that the defense proved categorically that the soldier in the area of the incident feared for their lives, something the prosecution tried to refute.
"From the 24 witnesses," Beserglick told Arutz Sheva, "on the defense, we identified close to 14 witnesses that were in the area who testified to an overwhelming sense of fear at the time and the knife and yelling made that fear even worse. Even the strange dress of the terrorist caused the soldiers to fear for their lives as he was wearing a coat on a hot day and soldiers feared that he had the capacity to or had already tried to commit an attack."
Beserglick blames the military police and military court for influencing the testimonies of the witnesses. He blames the military police and their disorderly investigations and stated that "we hear that witnesses were brainwashed by military police before taking the witness stand."
"We will never know which other witnesses there are for us. We did a thorough investigation and, even yesterday, we located another soldier that wasn't investigated by the military police and we brought him to court. He also described a feeling of fear in the area."
"The man running the investigation is a company commander who got reprimanded about the way he dealt with the situation and it's like letting the cat watch over the milk. Because his entire goal is to protect himself, the way he did in his testimony and that's why his testimony contradicts the one he gave to the military police," Beserglick stated.
According to the lawyer, the quick pace of the trial and the speed at which it was carried out is not fair and abnormal. He explained that usually criminal trials are not held this way. They usually give 3-6 months preparatory time for cases like this and the defense only received one week for preparation.
"That's the situation we are dealing with and we, on the defense, will continue to deal with this case as best we can," Beserglick concluded.
Barsarglik says that, even with the attempts to convict the soldier, the defense will bring justice to light.
3. FORMER NEO-NAZI TO IMMIGRATE TO ISRAEL
by Yoel Domb
The former Neo-Nazi Hungarian leader, Czanad Szegedi, a former member of the EU parliament and of the radical nationalist and anti-Semitic Jobbik party who recently revealed his Jewish past has announced that he has opened formal proceedings to immigrate to Israel.
His announcement came at a Pan-European conference which took place last week under the auspices of the Movement to Fight Anti-Semitism and Boycotts,
Szegedi was previously notorious for his incendiary comments against Jews. The turning point in his life came when his rival in the party investigated and discovered Szegedi's Jewish roots. Due to that rival, Szegedi learnt that his mother was Jewish, making him Jewish according to Halakhah, and that his grandparents were survivors of the Auschwitz death camp where they lost most of their families. They had subsequently hidden their Judaism over the course of many years.
The stunned Szegedi resigned all his posts in the party after the matter was revealed in the Hungarian Press and searched for ways to strengthen his Jewish identity. He met with Chabad emissaries in Hungary, Rabbi Baruch Oberlander and Rabbi Shlomo Kovac. He adopted the name Dovid, wore a kippah, learnt Hebrew, visited Israel, and had himself circumcised.
Szegedi now lives as a practicing Jew, observing Shabbat and continuing to study Torah with Rabbi Kovac. At the same time he has resigned his post in the European Parliament and has started working to try and obliterate anti-Semitism from Hungary and from all of Europe. Szegedi says that his former party, Jobbik, "offers only the euphoria of hatred to people who are in despair."
A documentary film is being produced about his journey from anti-Semite to Orthodox Jew.

5. 20 SPECIAL AGENTS ESCORT NETANYAHU TO THE BATHROOM
by Arutz Sheva Staff
As reported by Page Six reporter, Emily Smith, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu caused a commotion at the upscale New York restaurant at the Harry Cipriani at the Sherry-Netherland hotel when he arrived with a 40-man security team comprised of elite Shin Bet security agents.
20 agents arrived before Netanyahu, and then 20 more agents arrived with him just after 9 p.m.
The restaurant seats just 100 people and, according to Page Six, other agents were dispersed discreetly around the restaurant.
When the Prime Minister got up to use the bathroom, 20 agents formed a human barricade blocking all forms of entry into the bathroom.
According to the article, the entire hotel was barricaded manned with security and attack dogs. Guests who wanted to enter were forced to go through metal detectors and security checks.
Past reports have said that Netanyahu travels with up to a 500-man security detail. Representatives of the restaurant declined to comment.

7. ISIS USES MUSTARD AGENT IN IRAQ
by Elad Benari
The Islamic State (ISIS) jihadist group is suspected of firing a shell containing mustard agent that landed at the Qayarrah air base in Iraq, where Amercan and Iraqi troops are operating, several U.S. officials told CNN on Wednesday.
The incident took place on Tuesday, according to the news network. The shell was categorized by officials as either a rocket or artillery shell.
After it landed on the base, just south of Mosul, U.S. troops tested it and received an initial reading for a chemical agent they believe is mustard.
No American troops were hurt or have displayed symptoms of exposure to mustard agent.
One official said the agent had "low purity" and was "poorly weaponized." A second official called it "ineffective."
A U.S. defense official told CNN troops had gone out to look at the ordnance after it landed. Based on seeing what they thought was a suspect substance, two field tests were conducted.
The first test was positive and the second was negative, the official said. The substance is now being sent to a lab for further examination.
U.S. troops involved in the incident went through decontamination showers as a precaution. No troops have shown any symptoms of exposure, such as skin blistering.
There have already been several reported cases of ISIS using mustard agent in both Syria and Iraq. CIA chief John Brennan has warned that the jihadists have used chemical weapons and have the capability to make small quantities of chlorine and mustard gas.
The officials who spoke to CNN Wednesday said they "had expected" that ISIS might try to use chemical weapons as U.S. and Iraqi forces push towards Mosul in an effort to take the city back from ISIS.
Several hundred U.S. troops are using the base as a staging area for supporting Iraqi forces.
All of this has led the Pentagon to assess on a preliminary basis that it was ISIS that fired at the base, since the terror group has been making mustard agent for some time.
The American officials told CNN that mustard agent is relatively easy to produce, and they continue to hit suspected manufacturing sites when they find them. U.S. troops are routinely outfitted with protective gear in the event of a chemical weapons attack.
In June of 2014, ISIS seized a weapons complex thought to have held hundreds of tons of lethal sarin and mustard gasses: the al-Muthanna complex, located 60 miles north of Baghdad, which was a central base of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's chemical weapons program.
There has also been some speculation that ISIS got its hands on chemical stockpiles that belonged to former Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi.
