As the elections to determine the next US President quickly approach, Ivanka Trump, the daughter of Republican nominee Donald Trump, could be seen last night with her husband visiting the grave of the Lubavitcher Rebbe in New York.

According to Kikar Shabbat, there was no press accompanying the couple; their visit was documented by others who had come to pray by the grave of the Rebbe.

Yeshiva World News noted the fact that Ivanka's visit to the Rebbe's grave was concurrent with her father's campaign rally in Nevada last night, during which Trump was rushed offstage following suspicions of an assassination attempt.

Ivanka, who converted to Judaism, and her husband Jared Kushner, who is also Jewish, are considered close advisors to Donald Trump.

Several days ago, Ivanka campaigned for her father at a Florida synagogue and spoke of the importance of Judaism in her life.

"I feel like Judaism helps your moral compass. It has been a great blessing in my life," she had said.

2. WATCH: TRUMP RUSHED OFF STAGE BY SECURITY DURING RALLY

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was rushed off stage by security officers during a campaign appearance in Reno, Nevada, on Saturday, AFP reported.

However, Trump reappeared several minutes later to cheers from his fans, declaring, "Nobody said it was going to be easy for us."

"I want to thank the Secret Service. They don't get enough credit. They are amazing people," he added.

Just before the fracas, Trump could be seen shielding his eyes from the lights in order to peer into the crowd, according to AFP.

There were signs of a struggle in the crowd as three agents led Trump away, shielding his body.

Soon after, police officers escorted a man into a bathroom away from the crowd. Several officers followed him inside, and several more stayed outside, guarding the door, according to a report in The New York Times.

Trump then resumed his speech, appearing unrattled by the incident.

A CNN reporter at the venue cited unnamed local law enforcement sources who said there had been a report of a gun in the crowd and a suspect in custody.

3. RUSSIAN PM MAKES SURPRISING DECLARATION
by Arutz Sheva Staff

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev spoke with Channel 2 about the Israel-Russia relationship.

During the interview Medvedev was asked about UNESCO's decision to deny history and claim Israel has no connection to the Western Wall and other holy places in Jerusalem.

"I think this subject has been blown out of proportion. UNESCO has made at least ten similar decisions, worded almost identically to this one. Our country never denied Israel's or the Jewish people's rights to Jerusalem, the Temple Mount, and the Western Wall. These are clear rights and it would be absurd to deny them. This decision is definitely not made to be anti-Israel and there's no reason to politicize it," Medvedev said.

He also noted Israel's positive relationship with Russia in many areas.

"We have a few central projects on the table. Pharmaceutics, agricultural technology, energy, and gas," he said.

However, Medvedev does not intend to cut his ties with Iran, Israel's greatest enemy.

"We have a warm relationship with Israel, a good relationship that I want to strengthen. At the same time, we have relations with other countries as well, including Iran. During the period of sanctions against Iran, I ordered Russia to stop selling missiles to Iran, and when the sanctions were lifted, I acted accordingly," Medvedev explained.

Medvedev was also asked to send a message to Russian expats in Israel.

"Israel is truly a special country for us. Many emigrants know the Russian language and mentality, and that allows us to communicate more actively. That has a lot of value. I'm counting on that, and hoping it will bear fruit," Medvedev concluded.

4. NEW JERSEY STABBING KILLS 3, INJURES ANOTHER 3
by Arutz Sheva Staff

A 23-year-old woman and two children ages 8 and 11 were stabbed to death in their Newark, New Jersey home during a stabbing attack on Saturday.

The attack left three other people were injured. The injured included a 29-year-old woman, and a boy and girl aged 13. All are reported to be in stable condition.

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka said the attack was "one of the most tragic and savage" ever seen. He pleaded for anyone with information to report it to the authorities.

"We have to get him immediately before he hurts someone else," Baraka said. "As long as he's on the street, nobody is safe."

It is not clear if multiple knives were used in the attack.

According to an Essex County prosecutor, the police are searching for a 26-year-old man who is already wanted for charges of sexual and aggravated assault in an unrelated incident which occurred on October 9. The suspect has not yet been charged for Saturday afternoon's stabbing attacks.

Police have offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

5. GAZAN FISHERMAN INDICTED FOR SMUGGLING TERROR EQUIPMENT
by Shlomo Pyotrokovsky

A Gaza fisherman was recently indicted for smuggling diving equipment to Hamas. The fisherman also attempted to smuggle weapons in Gaza, but was caught by the Egyptian army.

A South District criminal attorney sent an indictment against the 23-year-old fisherman on Sunday morning to the District Court in Be'er Sheva, charging him with three counts of committing crimes against the State of Israel.

According to the indictment, the fisherman made contact with Hamas terrorists in 2013 and used the fact he was a fisherman to smuggle diving equipment into Gaza, using a fishing boat he received from Hamas.

During 2015, the fisherman attempted to smuggle 200 kilograms of weapons in return for $1200, but he and several others were caught by the Egyptian army.

The indictment also mentions the fact that he committed his crimes in conjunction with an outside party. He is being charged, among other things, with committing crimes, giving services or making equipment available to terror organizations.

The file is under investigation of Shin Bet security forces and the Israeli police. Attorneys have requested the fisherman's arrest until all legal proceedings against him have reached their conclusion.

6. SATMAR: VOTE FOR HILLARY
by Orly Harari

Leaders of one of the groups of the Satmar anti-Zionist hasidic sect have told their followers to vote for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton next week. Satmar split into two groups after the former Grand Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum's death.

According to those Satmar leaders, Republican candidate Donald Trump is pro-Israel and works to strengthen the Jewish state, and it is therefore forbidden to vote for him. Satmar believes that it was forbidden to create a Jewish state until the coming of the Messiah as the Talmud says that Jews in exile must not antagonize the non-Jews.

In the notice sent to thousands of hasidim, the group justified their decision on other grounds as well, stating that Clinton "has stood with the haredi sects for several years, when she was First Lady, New York Senator, and Foreign Minister."

A fringe group related to Satmar and often confused with them, known as Neturei Karta, organizes anti-Israel rallies, and often organizes protests at pro-Israel gatherings in the US in which Satmar participates.

7. HASIDIC MEN SAVE ARAB WOMAN ON PLANE
by Arutz Sheva Staff

Jew in the City, a small site that works to fight stereotypes, has reported an unusual incident: After an Arab woman collapsed on a trans-Atlantic flight, two hasidic Jews came to the rescue and administered first aid.

The two hasidim, Beirish Shonbrun and Avraham Meir Miller, both of Kiryat Yoel in New York, were on a plane to the Ukraine, to celebrate a Torah dedication and a bar mitzva at a small Ukrainian yeshiva in the city of Kuresteen. Both of them have visited Kuresteen's yeshiva almost monthly for the past 15 years, and Shonbrun is a "mohel," a specialist in Jewish ritual circumcision, as well as a successful businessman and entrepreneur.

At about halfway through their plane's 10-hour flight, an Arab woman approached flight attendants stationed in the plane's rear, claiming she did not feel well. Just before she reached them, she collapsed on the floor of the plane.

When the announcement asking anyone with medical training to report to the staff immediately was blasted over the intercom, Shonbrun immediately responded, yelling at Miller to wake up on his way to the back of the plane. Both men brought their medical kits and certification cards along with them. Though there was a doctor present on the plane, he did not have his ID with him, so the two hasidim were asked to help instead.

Both Miller and Shonbrun are longtime volunteers in Kiryat Yoel's Hatzolah organization.

When Shonbrun arrived at the scene, the Arab woman was unresponsive. After he woke her up, she began throwing up, and Shonbrun cleaned her up and took her vitals, while he asked about her medical history, then stabilized her.

Since she spoke neither English nor Yiddish, another Arab passenger was forced to serve as translator. By the time the pilot asked if an emergency landing was necessary, the woman was feeling better and it was no longer necessary.

Shonbrun explains, "I became an EMT when I was young. In addition to my businesses in contracting and in roofing and siding…I grew up in Williamsburg and moved to Kiryat Yoel when I got married 20 years ago. I try to help people all day....It was a nice kiddush Hashem [a sanctification of God's name]. A man came up to me and told me that he never saw anything like this. 'How did I do it?' He asked me. He only ever sees hasidim turn the plane upside down. But not this time."

8. THE FAR-LEFT COMES TO AMONA
by Hezki Baruch

[video:2020694]The far-left organization Peace Now is taking a tour this morning in the Binyamin community of Amona, slated for destruction by order of the Supreme Court.

The tour includes members of the far-Left Meretz political party, as well.

Chairman of Meretz Zehava Galon noted on Twitter: "We are now in Amona. Organized theft of private Palestinian land, whose evacuation the government does everything in its power to prevent."

MK Michal Rozin of Meretz said during the tour: "It is not possible for the government to continue to steal land and distance us from a sustainable security for all the citizens of Israel who live within its legal borders."

"There is nothing heroic in occupation. Control over another nation is an injustice that is not Jewish, not Zionist - and, for sure, not democratic," she said.

She added: "The citizens of the State are being held captive by an extremist and belligerent few. The 'Normalization Law' and other such legal acrobatics are inventions - it is state-backed theft. The bottom line is that right-wing politicians are afraid to admit that we are right - the 'settlement enterprise' has failed. It damages security and Zionism."

It will be remembered that the Supreme Court has ruled that Amona is to be destroyed by the end of the year.

Last week, the government handed in a petition to the Supreme Court seeking to delay the destruction by seven months.
