1. TEENAGE TERRORIST GETS JUST 12 YEARS FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER
by Shlomo Pyotrovsky
A Jerusalem district court for juveniles handed down a 12-year sentence on Monday to a teenage Arab terrorist who stabbed and seriously wounded two Jews in a terror attack last October.
Ahmed Manasra, a 14-year old resident of Beit Hanina neighborhood in the capital, joined his cousin in a stabbing attack targeting Jewish civilians in the Pisgat Zeev neighborhood of northern Jerusalem just over one year ago.
The pair walked down Moshe Dayan Boulevard, the main thoroughfare in Pisgat Zeev, hunting for victims, when they fell upon 20-year old Yosef Twito. Twito was stabbed twice before he managed to flee.
The two terrorists then turned a corner and found a 12-year old child outside of a candy store. The terrorists stabbed and nearly killed the boy, who was hospitalized in serious condition after the attack.
Manasra was captured after being struck by a car, while his cousin, the second assailant, was shot and killed by police after charging officers while brandishing a knife.
The court, which included judges Yoram Noam, Rivka Feldman-Friedman, and Moshe Bar-Am, ruled that Manasra's age did not justify a reduced sentence, given the severity of his crimes.
"His status as a minor does not give him protection from the proper punishment," the decision read, "including serving time in prison, given the seriousness of the crimes he committed."
While at the time of the crime Manasra was 13-years old, he was now 14, and thus able to serve time behind bars.
In addition to the 12-year jail term, Manasra was also given a two year suspended sentence and ordered to pay 180,000 shekels ($48,000) in damages to the two victims, 80,000 to Twito and 100,000 to the minor.

2. CHARITY FOR CHELSEA? CLINTON 'CHARITY' MONEY USED FOR WEDDING
by David Rosenberg
The latest Wikileaks releases have revealed the apparent use of Clinton Foundation money, ostensibly intended for charitable causes, to sustain the posh lifestyle of Bill and Hillary Clinton's only child, Chelsea Clinton.
According to a newly publicized email sent by aide to the former president and co-founder of the Clinton Global Initiative Doug Band, Chelsea Clinton was allegedly paid by the Clinton Foundation to campaign, presumably on behalf of her mother's bid for the White House.
Chelsea Clinton has served as an active member of the Clinton Foundation's board of directors for more than five years. But the newly released emails from Band to Clinton campaign manager John Podesta suggest Chelsea relied heavily on Foundation funds to support herself, and even drew upon the Foundation's coffers to pay for her wedding.
In one email, Band urged Podesta to clamp down on her "using foundation resources for her wedding and life for a decade," warning they could be subjected to an upcoming investigation.
Band asked Podesta to "speak to her" – a reference to either Hillary Clinton or her daughter – "and end this".
The FBI is now reportedly investigating the Clinton Foundation and its ties to the State Department. Two sources within the FBI suggested there was "a lot of evidence" in the case, and that an indictment was "likely" if not obstructed by officials within the bureau or Justice Department.
A separate Band email claimed that not only Chelsea, but even her husband Marc Mezvinsky used their ties to the foundation for personal enrichment.
According to one message, Mezvinsky organized get-togethers on behalf of the Clinton Foundation, bringing together big-name donors. Once there, however, Mezvinsky solicited the Clinton donors for his own hedge fund.
"His raising money for his own fund hasn't been going well," wrote Band, "and he has cvc [Chelsea Victoria Clinton] making some calls for him to get mtgs [sic] with some clinton people. Marc has invited several potential investors and a few current business ones to the poker night."
"I assume all are contributing to the foundation, which of course isn't the point. What is the point is that he is doing precisely what he accused me of doing as the entire plan of his has been to use this for his business which he is."
3. MURDER OR HEROISM? EX-OFFICER ARRESTED FOR SHOOTING
by Arutz Sheva Staff
A former IDF officer was arrested this week on suspicion he committed an act of murder roughly two years ago.
The claim, made by a relative of the ex-officer, disputes the official record of an incident that took place in southern Israel some two years ago.
According to the officer's testimony at the time, while on the outskirts of an IDF facility in southern Israel, he observed a terrorist approaching the facility while driving an all-terrain vehicle.
When he ordered the man to halt, the terrorist refused and drew a knife. He was thus forced to shoot him in self-defense.
The officer was later awarded for his actions.
Now, however, a relative of the officer claims he confessed to him that the story he told his superiors after the incident was a lie, and that he had planted the knife at the scene to justify his shooting.
But the ex-officer's accuser has a history has brought the reliability of his claim into question.
A convicted criminal who served time for fraud and criminal impersonation, the accuser, says the suspect's attorney, is an unreliable witness whose claims should not be grounds for arrest.
4. NEW LAW OKAYS BAN ON ENTRY FOR ISRAEL BOYCOTTERS
by Hezki Baruch
A proposal originally put forward by former MK Yinon Magal (Jewish Home) passed its first Knesset reading on Monday morning, with a majority of 9 in favor versus 3 opposed.
After Magal gave up his seat in the Knesset, MK Bezalel Smotrich (Jewish Home) took it upon himself to push the law forward.
The proposal explains, "In recent years, calls to boycott the State of Israel have become more common. It seems the international war on Israel has opened an additional front, which Israel has thus far avoided planning for and dealing with. This proposal attempts to prevent individuals or representatives of organizations, associations, and companies who support a boycott on Israel from working towards their goals and forwarding their ideas on Israeli soil and under Israeli jurisdiction."
"This simple, trivial law passed its first Knesset reading today," said Smotrich.
"It shows the country is a healthy country who loves her lovers and fights her enemies. The State of Israel is fighting on several fronts simultaneously. The IDF protects our borders, and in addition, we're fighting a war against BDS and others who wish to boycott Israel. It's time we stop turning the other cheek and start preventing BDS and other anti-Semites who are constantly working to harm Israel from entering our country."

6. MAID PRINTED SECRET EMAILS FOR HILLARY
by Chana Roberts
The State Department on Friday has released emails revealing Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton had her Filipino maid Marina Santos print out "confidential" and "top secret" emails for her, during her term as Secretary of State, the New York Post reported on Sunday.
Santos did not possess the appropriate security clearance to read those emails or any clearance at all.
In addition, the FBI did not investigate, or even interview, Santos as part of their probe into the Clinton email scandal. Santos may know where the missing USB flash drive and Apple MacBook are located. And the 300,000 emails that were supposedly "lost" may still exist in other locations.
The FBI also never requested Clinton hand over the devices used to access those emails and documents that they were investigating.
FBI notes reveal Santos "collected documents from the secure facsimile machine for Clinton."
The article says that Santos also had access to a highly secure room called an SCIF (sensitive compartmented information facility) that diplomatic security agents set up at Whitehaven, according to FBI notes from an interview with Abedin.
The information Clinton illegally received included the President's Daily Brief - a top-secret memo received only by the president and a few select officials.
Some of the information Clinton was allowed to handle - such as emails to Clinton from the Department of State - was certainly off-limits to anyone else.
However, the FBI is not currently investigating Santos or attempting to recover the lost items and emails.
Clinton and Santos may not be the only ones at fault, either.
In 2012, another Clinton aide, Monica Hanley, advised Hillary, "We can ask Marina to print this."
Hanley also sent a "sensitive" but unclassified e-mail to Clinton referring to a fax the staff wanted Clinton "to see before your Netanyahu mtg. Marina will grab for you."
Santos was also illegally privy to sensitive and confidential points on the Iran deal - in 2012.
The Post suggests Santos could turn out to be the Betty Currie of the Clinton e-mail scandal. Currie was the secretary for President Clinton who became famous as a central witness in the Monica Lewinsky scandal for her handling of gifts given to Clinton's mistress.
The previous FBI investigation concluded that Clinton and her staff had been "extremely careless" with classified information, but there was no evidence she knowingly violated the laws regarding the handling of sensitive materials and criminal charges were not recommended. This may be about to change.

8. JOY AS TORAH WHICH SURVIVED HOLOCAUST DEDICATED AT SAMUEL'S TOMB
by Hezki Baruch
[video:2020720]
A celebration took place at the Tomb of the Biblical Prophet Samuel Sunday night, as a Torah Scroll which survived the Holocaust was dedicated at the holy site.
The Torah scroll was donated by the Glanz family in memory of two people named Samuel, their son, and the man who saved the scroll, Holocaust survivor Samuel Tzvi Ben Israel.
Ziva Glanz spoke with Arutz Sheva about the special story of this Torah scroll, which is being dedicated to three generations of Samuels. "Today we are celebrating the bringing of a Torah scroll to this site that belonged to a Holocaust survivor, Samuel Ben Israel. We called our son Samuel in memory of this Holocaust survivor to ensure (the survivor's) continuity."
"Unfortunately," Ziva said, "my son lived only one week, and we decided to bring this Torah scroll which survived the Holocaust to the Tomb of Samuel the Prophet in order to ensure a memorial for both (souls)."
"It was a very hard year for us, having lost a week-old baby" she explained. "It is the hardest thing in the world, worse than any other pain. To turn that sadness and grief into joy for something special - this is closure. Samuel the Prophet was born because of his mother Hannah's prayers, and we dedicate this Torah scroll to sanctify their souls, that of our baby (Samuel), the Prophet Samuel, and the Holocaust survivor Samuel. It is an emotional (moment) that gives us comfort."
"I dedicate this Torah scroll to all families that do not have continuity." she declared. "And I hope that it will be a comfort for all the people of Israel and all the families that lack continuity."
