In an exclusive interview with Arutz Sheva, Holocaust survivor and Neve Tzuf resident Avigail Ben Nun speaks about the miracles of her life and how she sees Friday night's arson attack.
"You can't compare it to what we went through during the war, like running for our lives, with nothing on, just our clothes, and being saved is just a miracle," Ben Nun said.
"I see miracles every day. Every day, I see my children, I see my grandchildren, I see my great-grandchildren. Every day is a miracle for me. And the house - we will build it back. And we'll build it even more beautiful."
When asked how she feels about the fact that the fire was probably a terror attack, Ben Nun said, "It's not probably. It was....we saw the fire, the Molotov, thrown from a car passing...so it's hatred."
She also says, there used to be no hatred among the peoples, until "they brought in Arafat and his gangs...that's what started the education of the haters."
Ben Nun said her message to her grandchildren is, "Just remember, everything is on paper, it is written, you should remember, you should talk about it, you should be together all the time and talk to each other and remember each other. That's all I say."
Earlier on Sunday morning, Arutz Sheva also interviewed Reserve Lieutenant Colonel and Neve Tzuf resident Itzik Shadmi, who said that for every house burnt down, Israel must build ten more.
2. IDF ELIMINATES ISIS FORCE FROM THE AIR
by Kobi Finkler
A patrol from the Golani Brigade this morning was fired on by ISIS forces in Syria in the vicinity of the communities of Nov and Avnei Eitan in the Golan Heights.
The patrol returned the fire first with small arms and then mortars. The air force located the armored vehicle that had been the source of the fire and destroyed the vehicle, killing all four ISIS terrorists inside.
This is not the first time the IDF has had to deal with spillover from the Syrian conflict. In September, three projectiles hit Israel, and the IDF was forced to retaliate, targeting three Syrian artillery positions.
The problem is not new to 2016, either: there has been spillover from Syria's civil war since the war began. Already in 2012, Israel filed a complaint with the UN, complaining that the fire presented a threat to Israeli residents and interests.
3. BENNETT: THIS IS AN ACT OF TERROR, WE WILL WIN
by Yoni Kempinski

Education MInister Naftali Bennett (Jewish Home) visited Neve Tzuf on Sunday morning, after terrorists set fire to the town on Friday night.
"We see here a concerted terror wave, with the goal of killing Jews, burning their houses, and bringing horror and terror upon the people. But just like in other cases, the People of Israel have joined hands, and is defeating the terror attack," Bennett said.
When asked about the international aid, Bennett said, "I think it's wonderful. Thank you."
He also said, "For every house here, we will build more homes. That's the solution to nationalistic terror. We will win. This is a nationalistic terror wave, perpetrated by arson terrorists for the purpose of burning Israeli towns."
On Saturday night, Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan (Likud) also visited Neve Tzuf, calling on the government to recognize the arson victims as terror victims.

4. SHOOTING IN NEW ORLEANS KILLS 1, WOUNDS 9
by Arutz Sheva Staff
A shooting in New Orleans' French Quarter on Sunday morning has killed one person and injured nine others, New Orleans police report.
The shooting occurred at the intersection of Iberville and Bourbon streets.
Police say it is not yet clear what precipitated the shooting.
Two arrests have been made so far, and the NOPD Homicide Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
All ten victims are between the ages of 20 and 37, with 8 being male and 2 female.
"This is not something that should've happened, NOPD Superintendent Michael Harrison said. He added there were "thirty or more police officers on the block" at the time of the shooting, since they were at the time securiing an annual college football game between two university teams.
5. MKS WITHDRAW PETITION AGAINST RABBI KARIM'S APPOINTMENT
by Shlomo Pyutrikovsky
Meretz MK's Zahava Gal-On, Tamar Zandberg, and Michal Rozin announced Sunday that they have decided to withdraw their petition to the Supreme Court against the appointment of Rabbi Eyal Karim to head the military rabbinate. The controversy around Rabbi Karim forced the postponement of the inauguration ceremony that had been scheduled for last Wednesday.
Their attorney, Uri Keidar, released a statement explaining their decision.
"The petitioners hope that the Supreme Court's clear declaration of values will continue to resonate in the IDF in general and the military rabbinate in particular. The petition has served its purpose. Under these circumstances, the petitioners will no longer continue the process," said the statement.
"We won. Rabbi Karim has renounced his previous views, so there's no longer any point to continuing the opposition."
There was also speculation that, as a result of the state's response and Rabbi Karim's affidavit, the Supreme Court was expected to reject the petition in any case.
This decision paves the way for Rabbi Karim's appointment to move forward.
6. ISLAMIC MOVEMENT FUNDS TERROR ACTIVITY ON TEMPLE MOUNT
by Uzi Baruch
Senior officials in the Islamic Movement and the Morabiton were arrested in the north of Israel by the Israeli Police and Shabak after they caused a dangerous escalation of the situation on the Temple Mount.
Shabak said the accused worked to continue the Morabiton's activities, despite the fact that they were declared illegal.
During the investigations, it was revealed that the terrorists had successfully managed an online payment system in which Morabiton members were paid, as well as transported, to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
Though the Morabiton members arrested were from the north of Israel, they were in contact and working together with Morabiton members in the south and Jerusalem, who executed the transfer of funds on the Temple Mount itself.
The indictments against four of the activists were filed on Sunday, to Hashalom District Court in Nazareth. The activists are being charged for illegal gatherings, using terror funds, and money laundering.
Morabiton is a Muslim activist group which calls on members to "protect" holy sites "from the fear of the heretics who threaten to destroy it." Their aim is to strengthen the Muslim presence on the Temple Mount and to cause disturbances when Jews visit.
7. LIBERMAN: OUR ANSWER MUST BE TO EXPAND THE SETTLEMENTS
by Yoni Kempinski, Neve Tzuf
Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman (Yisrael Beytenu) visited the Binyamin region town of Neve Tzuf on Sunday morning, in the wake of Friday night's arson attack.
Three different fires were set in Neve Tzuf simultaneously, as part of last week's arson intifada.
Liberman spoke about the arsons saying, "We're talking about 110 arson incidents. All of the security forces, the police forces, and the firefighters were working to deal with 110 incidents. In 17 of those, we already have proof that we're talking about arson, and we're still investigating the other incidents."
"I first of all want to express my appreciation to the residents of Neve Tzuf. This is one of the oldest towns in Judea and Samaria. It's an amazing town, with exceptional residents who are strong and who will manage to successfully deal with this tragedy," Liberman said.
He also added, "We're not talking in terms of retaliation. We're talking about rebuilding, about putting lives back together. We need to rebuild as many homes as possible, and not just rebuild but to expand the settlements. The best answer to this situation is expanding the settlements."
Liberman also thanked all those who helped put out the fires.
"I also want to express my genuine thanks to all the rescue workers, firefighters, police, and volunteers who took part in dealing with this horrific event. Thank you, to the Regional Council Head, and to the members of the Regional Council, for working so amazingly well together.
"I want to emphasize the IDF's contribution. In this case, the army was the first to arrive, and they took charge. You need to understand that during this wave of arsons, the IDF drafted 3,000 soldiers and put them at the service of internal security. 700 of these were reserve soldiers from the Home Front Command. 23 Air Force teams joined the firefight...I think the Home Front Command, as well as the National Emergency Authority and the IDF, did excellent work. I hope we will no longer have to do this kind of work, and I also hope all the arsonists are caught. I believe we have leads, and that we will arrest all the arsonists and successfully carry out justice," Liberman added.
When asked whether he intended to approve building in Neve Tzuf even though the town is not within any official settlement bloc, Liberman said, "Right now we're not talking about political blocs, we don't have to mix two topics. The answer to every fire is to build, one house and then another. The most important thing, what has to happen first, is to help the affected families rebuild their lives."
Earlier on Sunday, Education Minister Naftali Bennett (Jewish Home) also visited Neve Tzuf, and on Saturday night, Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan (Likud) visited Neve Tzuf as well.

8. ARMY OFFICER: TEN NEW HOMES FOR EVERY ONE THAT WAS BURNED
by Yoni Kempinski
[youtube:2021474]
Reserve Lieutenant-Colonel Itzik Shadmi, who is also a Neve Tzuf resident, spoke to Arutz Sheva about the Friday night arsons.
"We took all the medicines, the talit, tefillin, the medicines, and we ran away," he said. "This area, the surroundings, was built purposely in wooden houses, and it's very very nice here, it's the Switzerland of Samaria. But it was so big and strong a fire, there was no chance."
"It's so much of frustration. It's so easy to take some matches and burn down a settlement....Our demand is that every house that was burned here and destroyed here, we ask from him [Defense Minister Liberman] to build ten times for each building, and to help the buildings of this area, as well," Shadmi explained.
"The terror changed its method, sometimes, it began by exploding buses, and then shooting, and then knives, and now, it's because it's so easy, so easy, to take some matches and burn half a town," Shadmi said. "I think the only way [to prevent future attacks] is for them to understand that the damage they did to us will not help them in another way."
