1. CHARITY FUNDS DIVERTED TO ARM HAMAS TERRORISTS
by Arutz Sheva Staff

One of the world's largest humanitarian charities has been duped for years into funding the Hamas terror organization, the Shin Bet security agency revealed on Thursday.

The World Vision group, a multi-billion dollar Christian charity with more than 45,000 employees, unknowingly funded the Hamas terror group in Gaza for roughly a decade after a member of Hamas, Muhammad Halabi, infiltrated World Vision in 2005.

According to the Shin Bet's report Thursday, Halabi funneled millions of dollars intended for humanitarian use towards the terrorist group.

By 2010, Halabi had reached a senior position within World Vision, leading its Gaza branch, enabling him to divert more than $7 million annually from civilian needs to Hamas coffers.

In a joint operation of the Shin Bet, the IDF, and Israeli police, Halabi was apprehended for his work with the terror organization.

During interrogation, Halabi admitted he had worked within World Vision on behalf of Hamas' military wing, and that he channeled funds and other resources towards the terror group.

The Shin Bet reported that the 38-year old civil engineer was captured in June while entering Israel at the Erez crossing along the Gaza border.

2. NETANYAHU: RADICAL ISLAM IS EXISTENTIAL THREAT, JUST LIKE NAZISM
by David Rosenberg

Speaking at a special event in the Knesset marking the 76th anniversary of the passing of Zionist leader Ze'ev Jabotinsky, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu warned of the dangers of Islamic terrorism, drawing direct comparisons with the threat Nazism and Communism posed to the free world in the 20th century.

"Nazism and Communism threatened free societies in the 20th century," said Netanyahu, "and radical Islam is threatening them in the 21st century."

The Zionist leader, who passed away in 1940, had spent his final years warning European Jewry of the approaching Nazi menace and urging them to flee to Israel, then part of the British Mandate for Palestine.

"Jabotinsky was vehemently against turning a blind eye to the existential threat of Nazism, and for this he sustained enormous criticism, but he stuck to his just position."

"Self-denial won`t help these days either. The threat of radical Islam is an existential threat. The choice is clear: we can either witness the intensification of this threat, or the freedom camp can wake up and stand at a broad and effective international front. Our policy is based on nurturing strength. The weak does not survive."

Netanyahu's statements come in the wake of a surge in terror attacks across Europe, from the massacre in Paris last November, to the bombings in Brussels this March, to the attack in Nice in July which left 85 dead and hundreds more wounded.

The Prime Minister also invoked Jabotinsky's support for economic liberalism, tying it to efforts to privatize Israel's Broadcasting Authority.

"One of the things Jabotinsky believed in is the idea of a free market and the choice of the citizen. While applying Jabotinsky`s doctrine, we implemented it in all fields. There is a determined struggle to prevent competition in the media market. All over the world there is competition, with some newspapers supporting one side and other newspapers supporting another, and no one says anything. In Israel there was an outlook different from Jabotinsky`s; there was immense concentration in the economy, media, and all other aspects of life. We are trying very hard to open these monopolies to competition, and this is the basic principle of democracy."

3. BLACK LIVES MATTER MOVEMENT DECLARES WAR ON 'ISRAELI APARTHEID'
by David Rosenberg

The radical "Black Lives Matter" movement released a formal platform on Monday, singling out Israel for what it calls the "genocide" against Palestinian Arabs and "Israeli Apartheid".

BLM, which emerged in the summer of 2013 following the acquittal of George Zimmerman, a Hispanic man who shot and killed an African American teenager in self-defense, aims to combat what it calls the "War on Black People".

The Black Lives Matter movement alleges that the United States actively targets and oppresses African Americans, while promoting "global imperialism" abroad.

In the new BLM platform, the movement claims American society is driven by "white supremacy, imperialism, capitalism and patriarchy".

"As oppressed people living in the US, the belly of global empire, we are in a critical position to build the necessary connections for a global liberation movement. Until we are able to overturn US imperialism, capitalism and white supremacy, our brothers and sisters around the world will continue to live in chains."

While the bulk of the BLM platform lambasts the United States for what it deems systemic racism, the document also singles out one foreign country for not only criticism, but specific policies.

In fact, while there is scant reference to other countries in the document, Israel is mentioned 10 times, and "Palestine" 9 times.

And while other countries are mentioned in passing, Israel is the only foreign country targeted by the platform. Israel is referred to as a "human rights violator" in the BLM platform, and indeed is the only country mentioned by name in that regard.

After accusing Israel of "systematic discrimination" against Palestinian Arabs, apartheid-like policies, and even outright genocide, the platform calls for an end to US foreign aid to the Jewish state, which should instead be diverted to reparations for "victims" of "American war-making" like Iraq, and Libya, as well as African Americans descended from slaves in the American South.

"Israel is an apartheid state with over 50 laws on the books that sanction discrimination against the Palestinian people," the platform claims, alleging that there is an Israeli "genocide taking place against the Palestinian people".

The Black Lives Matter platform also calls active opposition to legislation intended to curb the BDS movement, warning the "anti-BDS bills being passed in states around the country," harms "the movement to end the Israeli occupation of Palestine".

Last week a delegation representing BLM arrived in Israel and participated in an Arab demonstration in the Samarian village of Bilin.

"The Movement for Black Lives is committed to the global shared struggle of oppressed people," the organization stated in a Facebook post, "namely the people of occupied Palestine and other indigenous communities who for decades have resisted the occupation of their land, the ethnic cleansing of their people, and the erasure of their history and experiences."

"In this violent, political climate, it is urgent that we make clear the connection between violence inflicted on Black people globally that is encouraged and permitted by the state and the profiling, harm, and genocide funded by the United States and perpetrated by Zionists vigilantes and the Israeli Defense Forces on Palestinian people. Our collective oppression mandates that we work together across geography, language and culture to decry and organize an end to capitalistic, imperialist regimes."

4. TERROR ATTACK AVERTED ON JERUSALEM LIGHT RAIL
by Arutz Sheva Staff

Security guards protecting the Jerusalem light rail train apprehended a suspicious man standing near the train station on Herzl Boulevard.

The guards later discovered the man was carrying a concealed knife.

Police were called to the scene and have taken the man into custody.

Initial reports indicate the 17-year old suspect entered Israel illegally.

On Tuesday Ali Abu Hassan, a 21-year old Palestinian Authority resident, was indicted for a July 17th plot to bomb the Jerusalem light rail.

The attack was narrowly averted when a security guard approached Hassan, who was about to board the train, and discovered a large explosive device concealed in his backpack.

5. FACEBOOK DELETES ISRAEL FROM LIST OF OLYMPICS PARTICIPANTS
by Shai Landesman

The Olympic Committee of Israel (OCI), sent an urgent letter to Facebook last night (Wednesday), urging the mammoth social media company to add Israel and its flag to a list on the site of countries competing in the upcoming Rio Olympics, Ynet reported today.

Pending a response from Facebook, it is yet unclear whether the is a coincidental oversight or an intentional slight or statement.

The omission was reportedly first noticed in the evening hours last night, with the OCI Facebook page receiving messages from users complaining that Israel is conspicuously absent from the list of participating countries. The list showed only the flag of the OCI.

The Olympic Committee confirmed they had been alerted to the problem, and told Ynet: "Already yesterday the Olympic Committee sent an urgent request to Facebook to add Israel and its flag to the list of participating countries. The public is invited to visit the OCI page to express support for the members of the Israeli delegation."

Ynet noted that Israel was the only country that had only the flag of its Olympic Committee listed, without the national flag. While countries like the US, Britain and Canada are listed with the word "Team" in front of the name of the country, their national flag appears.

7. RECORD NUMBER OF REFUGEES POUR INTO EUROPE
by David Rosenberg

More than 1.3 million refugees applied for asylum in the European Union, Norway, and Switzerland last year, the Pew Research Center reports, nearly twice the previous record year of 1992, when 697,000 refugees sought asylum.

The dramatic spike in refugees pouring into Europe correlates with the exodus of hundreds of thousands of people from three war-torn countries: Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan. Migrants from these three predominantly Islamic states made up roughly half of all refugees in the EU, Norway, and Switzerland in 2015.

Frustration with the rising tide of migration has led to widespread criticism of the European Union's handling of immigration and the refugee issue, with large majorities in EU-member states unsatisfied with the status quo.

According to a survey conducted by Pew earlier this year - and prior to the attacks in Brussels, Nice, and Munic - 67% of Germans disapproved of the EU's handling of the migrant crisis – a notable figure considering the German government's open-door policy on refugees.

In France and the UK 70% disapproved, while 71% in Poland, 72% in Hungary, and 75% in Spain were also unhappy with the EU over immigration.

The highest levels of satisfaction, however, were recorded in Sweden and Greece. A whopping 88% of Swedes said they were unhappy with the EU's handling of the refugee issue, while 94% of Greeks responded similarly.

The high levels of dissatisfaction reflect a growing anxiety over the rapid escalation of immigration and the preponderance of young men, who make up the bulk of asylum seekers

Across the EU, 2015 marked a dramatic turning point in the migrant crisis.

Germany, the recipient of the largest number of migrants, accepted some 836,000 from the beginning of the Syrian civil war in 2011 through 2015. But more than half – 442,000 – came in 2015 alone.

In other countries, the increase was even more dramatic. In Hungary, 74% of all asylum seekers since 2011 arrived in 2015; in Austria 77% arrived in 2015, representing a more than three-fold increase over 2014.

Nor are the migrant asylum-seekers demographically balanced, with the overwhelming majority being fighting-age males.

A total of 73% of all asylum seekers in Europe in 2015 were men, including 71% of Syrians, 75% of Iraqis, and 80% of Afghans.

Among migrants from other countries, the figures were even more lopsided, with 95% of migrants from Pakistan and Bangladesh being men, and a whopping 97% of migrants from Gambia.

IDF forces demolished the homes the terrorist responsible for the deadly attack in Sarona Market in Tel Aviv early Thursday morning, in a joint operation between Border Police and units of the Civil Administration's enforcement division.

In June, the two terrorists, Khalid and Mahmoud Mehamara, opened fire in the Sarona Market in Tel Aviv, killing four and wounding six.

Operating early Thursday morning, Israeli security forces destroyed Khalid Mehmara's home in Yatta, south of Hevron, along with the home of his cousin, Mahmoud Mehamara in Khirbet Raka'a, also in the Hevron area.
