1. 'SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION PROVIDED INSPIRATION FOR TERRORISM'
by Gary Willig
Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon accused the Security Council of providing inspiration and encouragement to terrorists who murder Israelis by passing Resolution 2334, which declared all Jewish presence over the 1949 armistice lines illegal and only condemned incitement and terrorism in abstract terms without condemning the Palestinian Authority or Hamas.
"Last month the Security Council voted to adopt resolution 2334 and this chamber erupted into applause with almost every nation represented voicing its approval of a resolution condemning Israel. Hamas and Islamic Jihad, murderous terrorist organizations who are openly committed to the destruction of the State of Israel, joined the Council in welcoming this resolution."Danon said.
He continued: "Last week a Palestinian terrorist used his truck to ram into a group of soldiers who were visiting Jerusalem, killing four Israelis and injuring dozens of others."
He held up photographs of those killed in the terror attack and stated their names: "Shir Hajaj, Yael Yakutiel, Erez Orbach, and Shira Tzur were murdered by a Palestinian who was led to believe that he could use terror and violence to remove the Jewish people from Jerusalem. He will not succeed."
He accused the Security Council resolution of being responsible for PA incitement. "The day after the Security Council vote, Fatah, the movement of Mahmoud Abbas, posted a cartoon on their official Facebook page. It showed a dagger in the shape of a map of Israel colored with Palestinian flag. Not Judea and Samaria, all of Israel. Under the dagger was a pool of blood and next to it said 'Thank you' and listed each Council member who voted for the shameful resolution. The Palestinian Foreign Minister's immediate reaction to the resolution and Secretary Kerry's speech was to declare: 'No to Israel as a Jewish state.' The Palestinians leadership received the message. The now understand that they should continue to spread lies and incitement."
2. TRUMP CABINET CANDIDATE: I LOOK FORWARD TO VISITING SETTLEMENTS

Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, the Trump associate who invited Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan to sent a message to Israelis stating that the relationship between the US and Israel will improve under the administration of President-elect Donald Trump.
Miller is being considered by the President-elect for the post of Secretary of Agriculture.
"I'm looking forward to hosting Chairman Yossi Dagan here on the 20th of January at our Presidential inauguration, where we swear in our new President, Donald J. Trump." Miller said.
"I am also looking forward to establishing a Texas-Israel exchange, where I can bring people to Israel and Israel will bring people to Texas, and jointly, we will be better off for sharing our knowledge, our innovations with each other." he added.
Miller said that he would soon visit Israel and tour the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. "I look forward to meeting with Chairman Dagan in my visit to Israel in March and seeing the settlements there, and seeing what we can do together to further our relationship..."
Yossi Dagan said of his upcoming meeting with Miller: "This meeting joins a series of diplomatic meetings we are holding between my team and Trump's senior associates. We are happy to meet Miller, and we will continue to promote relations with US officials, for the good of the settlements In Judea and Samaria and for the common interests of Israel and the United States."
3. OP ED: DO NOT LET THEM WIN
by HaRav Shmuel Eliyahu
The Book of Kings begins with the story of the elderly King David being told that there is a movement afoot to crown Adoniyah ben Hagit his successor instead of Solomon. When David understands what is being done behind his back, he swears to stop the coup and crowns Solomon king that very day even though the time for the coronation has not yet arrived. The king understood that he must not to let the fire of rebellion continue to burn and that he must act quickly, before it became too late.
I write this in the context of an investigation against the Prime Minister and the calls that he resign. Anyone who reads the stories of the two Justice Ministers, Daniel Friedman and Yaakov Ne'eman, (who announced that they intended to change the Justice Department and were also subjected to investigations that prevented their doing so, ed.) learns that this method is the one used by those who have failed at the ballot box. They use the legal system to eliminate political opponents under the guise of fairness and justice, so that the public does not object.
If anyone thinks that the rumors and investigations against the Prime Minister come from a desire for clean, honest government, along come the daily leaks against the Prime Minister that absolutely do not stand the test of morality and justice - and they reveal to us that someone here is working hard to eliminate the Prime Minister.
These leaks did not make the headlines by accident. Someone took care to leak and publish them in order to mislead you, the public. To break the Prime Minister's spirit and mislead the Attorney General. They want you to delude yourself into believing that it's not so terrible to discard an elected Prime Minister because we can bring someone with 'cleaner hands'.
Do not let them win. They want to undo the will of the voters and crown someone who does their will. Even if the Prime Minister is replaced by a right-winger, he is likely to fall in line with their agenda as did Ariel Sharon. Every future Prime Minister will then fear their power and reach. Do not believe a word that comes out of their mouths. They want to carry out an illegal coup and they need you to believe in these rumors.
We must stop them. This is also a danger to democracy and to Israel. The people voted for Netanyahu and one does not topple a prime minister for cigars and meetings with journalists. Shimon Peres was not ousted over this, and neither should Netanyahu be.

4. YAIR NETANYAHU TESTIFIES IN PRIME MINISTER'S INVESTIGATION
by Arutz Sheva
Yair Netanyahu, the prime minister's son, testified Tuesday afternoon to police in connection with the investigation of his father on suspicion of receiving benefits from businessmen.
Netanyahu junior gave his testimony regarding the "1000 Affair" at the Lahav 433 unit headquarters in Lod.
This morning the editor of the Israel Hayom newspaper, Amos Regev, came to testify to police regarding the connection between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and rival newspaper Yediot Aharonot's publisher Arnon(Noni) Mozes.
Police Commissioner Roni Alshikh referred today to the investigation against Netanyahu and estimated that "the investigation will not take a long time. We are working as fast as we can and nobody is disturbing us."
On Monday Channel 2 released further tapes of conversations which took place between the prime minister and Mozes prior to the 2015 elections. The conversations discussed the possible limiting of the circulation of Israel Hayom as part of a deal planned between the two of them.
Mozes: Let's think a moment about the details of the law. It begins from two thirds
Netanyahu: We need to tell Sheldon
Mozes: We need to state the number (of copies of Israel Hayom)...not two thirds.
Netanyahu: The number has to be explained. Not to totally remove, not to remove three thirds, to remove two thirds.
Mozes: When we spoke of numbers it was 275,000 copies and now it is 325,000 copies. You understand that as time goes by it creates a problem?..We are back to a situation where we are putting things off and they are more difficult to solve. I'm trying to think, on Fridays it is 400,000 copies, I'm trying to work out a formula of how many ammouncement pages are involved.
Netanyahu: What, can you limit the amount of announcement pages he puts out?
Mozes: Is there a problem? What's the problem? 30,50, even 70 percent of the advertisements are state-funded announcements. This is not right. I'm saying this to you as an aside but we cant do everything together.
Netanyahu: Ok, I wrote this down as well. We won't deal with it now.
Mozes: I will state numbers of copies and percentage of capacity. "Capacity" is a media term. In a free newspaper beyond a certain level of copies the amount of announcements cannot be high and then the damage caused by a drop in prices is negligible. We are trying together to find something.
Netanyahu: I'm thinking what sounds more plausible, I'm thinking aloud.. I'm not...
Mozes: We're trying to find something together.
5. WATCH: INFILTRATORS ATTACK SOLDIER IN SOUTH TEL AVIV
by Gil Ronen
May Golan, active on behalf of south Tel Aviv neighborhoods, unveiled tonight (Monday) on Facebook a security video which she says was filmed in the old central bus station in southern Tel Aviv, showing three infiltrators attack an IDF soldier.
"I am exposing here for the first time a brutal and shocking attack on an Israeli soldier who 'dared' to go to the old bus station in Tel Aviv in the evening where he was robbed and beaten with unimaginable brutality by three Eritrean infiltrators - called by the Left 'refugees'", she wrote.
"You can see in the video how one after the other, one Eritrean intruder and another one and another one arrive to continue to hit the soldier who fought bravely and courageously against these three monsters", added Golan. "It's not enough that we send our boys into battle, they now have another battle when they get off at the bus central station, to fight with the Eritreans."
According to her, thanks to security cameras and the soldier's complaint, Israeli police managed to catch the attackers. Golan did not specify when the video was filmed.
"Many neighborhoods throughout Israel continue to be conquered from within by tens of thousands of Eritrean infiltrators and the tens of thousands of children they bear - in order to establish and consolidate their remaining in Israel," Golan claims, and appealed to the Prime Minister to deport the illegal Eritrean infiltrators.
6. BUCHRIS: I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY ACTIONS
by Uzi Baruch
A three-judge tribunal is expected to approve a plea bargain agreement Tuesday at a special military court in the IDF headquarters at the Kirya complex in Tel Aviv for Brigadier General Ofek Buchris (res.), who was originally charged with 17 counts of sexual misconduct against female service members.
As part of the plea bargain, Buchris has confessed to two offenses in a revised indictment issued against him, including prohibited sexual activity and indecent conduct.
General Avi Mizrachi (res.) spoke as a character witness on Buchris' behalf, calling him a "brave warrior".
"Buchris must be punished for what he did, which the courts will decide," Mizrachi said. "I know that my actions are not popular, but we don't leave the wounded in the field. I will therefore be coming to testify for Buchris that I know him as a brave commander and a warrior, titles which cannot be taken away from him," Mizrachi said.
At the end of Tuesday's hearing, Buchris said he acknowledged his actions and took responsibility for them.
"I take full responsibility for my actions," said Buchris, adding that he was still proud of his service in the army.
"One thing I will never doubt – I will continue to serve the state to the best of my ability."
7. 'MY FATHER WAS KILLED FOR SUPPORTING ISRAEL'
by David Rosenberg
[youtube:2023331]
On June 5th, 1968, New York Senator Robert Francis Kennedy was shot and killed by Sirhan Sirhan, an Arab terrorist angered by Kennedy's support for an arms deal to Israel.
The assassination, which took place in the midst of the tumultuous 1968 Democratic primary season, came just two months after the murder of Martin Luther King Jr. and less than five years after the killing of Kennedy's older brother, President John F. Kennedy.
Often lost in the larger story of RFK's assassination, however, is his pro-Israel legacy and the centrality of his pro-Israel views in Sirhan's motive.
On Saturday, Robert Kennedy's daughter, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, spoke with Israel's Channel 1 about her father's support for Israel, the 'special bond' his assassination forged between her and the Jewish state, and her personal views on Israel.
In the interview, which was broadcast on Sunday, Townsend described Israel as "extraordinary", calling it an example to the world.
A former Lieutenant Governor of Maryland, Townsend inherited from her father not only a desire to pursue a career in politics, but an interest in Israel as well – something which was inspired by her uncle's support for the Jewish state as well.
"As you may know, my father, Robert Kennedy, was here in 1948 as a journalist. He covered the war in 1948," Townsend explained.
"He wrote about the courage of the Israelis and how they were determined to build a new country, and that they would build this country, and that they had seen such horror in Europe, and that they would build a country of courage, of democracy, of values, and that he realized when he saw the Israelis that the United States had a special relationship with this country and needed to make sure that that relationship stayed firm. And as you know in 1968 he was fighting for the 50 jets that would be given to the Israeli army and he was killed because of his support."
The sale in 1968 of 50 F-4 Phantom fighters to Israel was a landmark in Israel-US relations, cementing the two as strategic allies.
But the sale of modern US fighter jets to the Jewish state also became the prime motivation in Sirhan's desire to murder Senator Kennedy, whose strong support was central in securing the sale.
"He was killed for his support for Israel, so I feel a very special bond to Israel because of my family," said Townsend, adding that her uncle, President Kennedy, had been an early supporter of Jewish statehood.
"And you may know that my uncle, John Kennedy, came here in 1939 and called for a two-state solution and said that Israel will be very strong. He saw in 1939 the type of strength that the Israelis had. It's hard to believe - wherever you look there are more cranes. You're building this amazing country. More buildings, more technology, more jobs. Everywhere around the world could look to Israel as an example of people who are determined to make something work. It's fabulous."
8. WATCH: RIOT AS IDF MOVES WOUNDED TERRORIST FOR TREATMENT
by Yoni Kempinksi
[youtube:2023359]
Arab commentators on social media reacted angrily to footage of IDF soldiers moving a wounded 17 year old terrorist who had thrown stones at border policemen
The terrorist had fallen after being shot during a riot of approximately 200 Arabs in which stones and Molotov Cocktails . The video shows the soldiers moving him to seek medical attention and carrying him by his limbs. He was later pronounced dead.
After he was brought to the IDF vehicle for medical treatment, about 200 Arabs began to riot and throw Molotov cocktails at the soldiers. One of the firebombs caused a fire in front of the vehicle, leading to the soldiers driving away.
An IDF spokesperson released a statement about the incident. "During the riot of approximately 200 Palestinians from the village of Tekoa, which included stone throwing and Molotov cocktails at security forces, a border policeman fired on one of the rioters. After he was identified, an IDF force went to him to provide immediate medical attention. During the evacuation, stones were thrown at the force in such a manner as to endanger them, so they quickly evacuated the wounded to a safer location to provide medical treatment, where he was pronounced dead. An investigation is underway.
