1. TEEN HAMAS TERRORIST GIVES UP WEALTH OF INFORMATION
by Arutz Sheva Staff
The Israel Security Agency (ISA, also known as the Shin Bet or Shabak) has announced that a young terrorist affiliated with Hamas's military wing was arrested and is now being questioned by authorities.
The suspect, a resident of the Gazan city of Jabalia, crossed the border fence and snuck into Israel about a month ago.
So far, the interrogation has found that he joined Hamas's northern Gaza branch shortly before Operation Protective Edge. He then underwent courses and training for the terror group's military wing, and even carried out extensive military operations, including ambushes and observations against IDF forces, patrols, and digging tunnels.
Most of his training involved various methods of attack including infiltration, entering buildings, explosives and more. This gives significant insight into what Hamas expects in the next major confrontation with Israel.
He gave up extensive information about Hamas's tunnels and their exit points, which are intended to allow fighters to enter Israel. He also spoke of tunnels intended for emergency uses by the Nahba, Hamas's elite unit.
The terrorist also provided specific information about the diggers' work methods, the tools they use and their operating procedures. For example, in order to camouflage their actions, the diggers are not permitted to leave the tunnels wearing work clothes, and are instead required to shower and change inside of the tunnel.
The youth admitted to taking part in placing explosives in and around tunnels, in case IDF forces enter them. He even kept bombs in his home.
He acknowledged that the group is still digging tunnels, despite knowing that Israel is tracking its actions. This gives lie to Hamas's persistent claims that it has ceased its tunnel activities.
Prosecutors are expected to file charges against the young terrorist soon.
Several other Hamas members are also currently being interrogated and are providing useful information about Hamas's actions and methods. Among them is another member of the Islamist groups's military wing who was also heavily involved in building terror tunnels.
2. TERRORIST STABS TWO ELDERLY WOMEN IN JERUSALEM
by Arutz Sheva Staff

Two Arab terrorists stabbed two women in their 80s in Jerusalem's Armon Hanatziv neighborhood on Tuesday morning.
Magen David Adom paramedics treated the victims and evacuated them to Sha'arei Tzedek Hospital. They are both in moderate condition with wounds to their backs and limbs.
The incident occurred while five older women were walking by the Haas Promenade. Two assailants with their faces covered suddenly attacked the group and stabbed the two elderly women before running away.
Shlomi Tedgi, a senior MDA medic, said, "We saw two elderly women, about 80 years old, lying on the dust by the promenade. They were fully conscious and suffered from stab wounds - one in her limbs and her upper body and the other in her upper body.
"They talked and interacted with us," he continued. "We gave them field medical treatment an evacuated them to the hospital. They were in moderate but stable condition."
Security forces set up roadblocks and launched a massive search of the area in order to find the perpetrators. Shortly afterwards police announced the arrest of two suspects believed to have carried out the attack.
3. NETANYAHU: WE THREATENED TO SEND TROOPS TO CAIRO
by David Rosenberg
Speaking at a Foreign Ministry ceremony on the eve of Yom HaZikaron, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu revealed that Israel had threatened Egypt during the 2011 Cairo embassy crisis.
During the event on Tuesday, held to honor the memory of 16 Foreign Service members who were killed in the line of duty overseas, Netanyahu emphasized that Israel was willing to go anywhere and take any action to protect the lives of its servicemen and women.
The Prime Minister noted that during the siege of Israel's embassy in Cairo in September 2011, the Egyptian government, then controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood, initially refused to intervene to save the embassy staff from a lynch mob which had surrounded the facility.
As rioters hammered away at the embassy's outer walls, Netanyahu finally threatened then-President Mohammed Morsi, telling the Egyptian leader that Israel was preparing commando squads for deployment in Cairo.
It was only then, claimed Netanyahu, that Morsi relented and extracted the Israeli staff from the embassy.
Prior to Netanyahu's comments on Tuesday, it was widely believed that Morsi had intervened in response to requests by US President Barack Obama, who spoke to the Egyptian leader on Israel's behalf.
4. ONE DEAD, THREE INJURED IN MUNICH TERROR ATTACK
by David Rosenberg
A man shouting "Allahu Akbar" ran through a railway station outside of Munich, stabbing travelers waiting to board a train on Tuesday. At least one person was killed and three wounded in the apparent terror attack.
The incident occurred at around 4:50 a.m. local time in the town of Grafing, not far from Munich.
Police report that the attacker, a 27-year old man, is in custody, but have yet to confirm that the attack was indeed an act of terrorism. The state prosecutor's office did acknowledge that the attack had an apparent "Islamist background", but have yet to officially categorize it as a terrorist attack.
One of the injured is reportedly in critical condition.
The wounded are all middle-aged men, ages 43, 55, and 58. The fatally-wounded man was 50 years old.

Witnesses reported that the attacker stabbed commuters waiting at the station at random, before bystanders overpowered the assailant and halted the attack.
There are conflicting reports in the German media over the identity of the assailant, now in the custody of local police. Some media outlets have claimed the man is an asylum-seeker of Middle Eastern origin, while others have stated that he is a German-born convert to Islam.
If the incident is confirmed to be an act of Islamist terror, it will be the latest in a wave of terror attacks by radical Muslims across Europe.
In March, suicide bombers from the ISIS jihadist group killed 31 and wounded more than 300 in a series of attacks on a Brussels airport and subway system.
Last November, 130 were killed and nearly 400 wounded in a massive terror attack by the ISIS terror group in Paris.
In January 2015, Islamic terrorists from Al Qaeda attacked the offices of the Charlie Hebdo magazine in France, while another Muslim terrorist affiliated with ISIS attacked the Hypercacher supermarket, which caters primarily to Orthodox Jews. The pair of attacks left 12 dead and 11 injured.

5. NACHSHON WACHSMAN'S MOTHER: ISRAELIS DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY HAVE
by Benny Tocker
Esther Wachsman, the mother of fallen IDF soldier Nachshon Wachsman spoke with Arutz Sheva in honor of Memorial Day.
"Every day, every moment, my child is missing. His place next to the table is empty. We celebrate the holidays without him, he doesn't participate in happy occasions," she said. "Days like Memorial Day are supremely important for the entire people and its unity and the general feeling - not only for the bereaved family. To me, my child is still missing and there is an emptiness around the Shabbat table."
Esther is comforted in the knowledge that four of her grandchildren are named after her son. "I have four grandchildren who bear his name. There's certainly happiness. There's pride and there is a purpose to life."
Every Memorial Day, Esther and her husband Yehuda meet with dozens of others at Nachshon's grave. "For the past 21 years we've gone up to his grave. All of his friends from school, scouts, the army, and the rescue operation. Every year they're there."
Nachshon Wachsman was kidnapped by Hamas in 1994 and was killed during a failed rescue attempt.
"When the kidnapping occurred, the entire nation followed what was going on. Every day, from morning until night. For six days everyone was poised to hear what was happening to the soldier. Even today strangers stop me on the street and tell me where they were on that Friday, when they heard the bitter news."
Esther also has a difficult message for Israel's 68th Independence Day, in light of Deputy IDF Chief of Staff Yair Golan's recent comment. "I came to this country 46 years ago, from the US. It's a rich country. I had all I could want there, and I can here for Zionist reasons. This is my homeland. This is where I wanted to have my home, my husband, and my children. This is where I want to live.
"When I hear, as just one examples, the Deputy Chief of Staff say what he said, it breaks my heart. I am afraid that we are not worthy of the country that we have received. That's how I feel. It pains me that a generation grew up here without knowing how to appreciate what it has."
"I grew up in the easy and comfortable diaspora, though I'm the daughter of a Holocaust survivor so I certainly grew up with a strong awareness. But I am burning with hate. It's a tremendous heartache to think that a generation may have grown up here without knowing it means to be a free people in our land."
Wachsman added that "This country is truly wonderful, with so much beauty. But when you see the news, read the papers and listen to the radio, you see the disgusting side of Israel.
"I work with groups like Shalva for children with special needs, and there are all sorts of wonderful organizations that do tremendous work for society, but you don't hear about that on the news. You only hear about the disgusting side of Israel. I'm sorry that's what I have to say today."
6. 16 YEAR-OLD BOY MISSING SINCE MONDAY NIGHT
by Ornit Etzer
The Efrat Regional Council has asked the public for help locating a missing 16 year-old boy Tuesday, after he was last seen more than 12 hours ago and has not come home.
Uri Houminer was last seen at the Gilo junction at about 10:20 pm last night.
He was wearing jeans, a grey shirt, and a black sweatshirt with "American Eagle" across it.
Anyone with tips or information is asked to call the Efrat security center at 1-700-70-5000, or the Moked 100 Police hotline.
7. BEREAVED PARENTS WELCOME NEW BABY SHORTLY BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY
by Uzi Baruch
Only hours before the start of Memorial Day, the mother of fallen soldier Ben Vanunu gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
Weighing 2.73 kilograms, she was born at 7:33 a.m. in Kaplan Hospital.
"This is a very moving day for us, both the family and our friends who have helped out," said Sarit Vanunu, the exultant mother. "I gave birth to my four children here, and now also the fifth baby. It's a happy occasion, though it's also tied to the loss of my son Ben."
Sergeant Ben Vanunu, a 19-year-old member of the Golani Brigade from Ashdod, was killed during fighting in Shuja'iyya during 2014's Operation Protective Edge. He and his comrades were traveling in an old "Zelda" APC that lacked protection.
At some point the Zelda became trapped and required another APC to extricate it. While they were performing this maneuver, a terrorist fired an anti-tank rocket at the older vehicle, killing all six soldiers inside.
8. PRESIDENT RIVLIN: WE MUST KEEP UP OUR HOPE
by Arutz Sheva Staff

President Reuven Rivlin offered a message in commemoration of Israel's 68th Independence Day.
"We must look to the future with hope," he said, outlining the theme of his talk. "The State of Israel was born out of the hope of 2,000 years. It was born with the bravery of dreamers who worked to turn their dream into reality."
He also discussed the need for all Israelis to see each other as united. "Terror will not overcome us. Even though it may take a terrible price.
"Friends, brothers and sisters around the world. Real independence means the freedom of expression. To celebrate and enjoy the diversity of voices of all the people of Israel, as different as they may be. Whether we agree with them or not. An inclusive nation that knows to debate and to discuss."
