Terrorists opened fire at the Sarona Market in Tel Aviv Wednesday evening, killing three and wounding 6.

One victim is reportedly in critical condition, while two are in serious condition, MDA has reported.

MDA officials report that the shootings occurred around Kaplan, HaArba, and Carlebach streets.

Witnesses say shots were fired at two different locations within the market.

It has been reported that the terrorists were disguised as haredi Jews.

One terrorist involved in the the attack was shot by a security guard and neutralized shortly after the attack. A second terrorist was later found and captured.

Security forces at the scene are searching the area for any possible additional terrorists.

Police have closed off nearby roads and have requested the public to avoid Sarona and the surrounding area.

Victims of the attack are being evacuated to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.

Officials at Ichilov reported that 10 people wounded by gunfire were transported to the hospital, including one of the two terrorists. The wounded terrorist is in serious condition.

United Hatzalah volunteer Yechiel Miller described the scene shortly after the attack:

"When I arrived at the scene I saw a woman who was unconscious and not breathing and in critical condition. We began resuscitation efforts. We also treated numerous other individuals who suffered gunshot wounds and wounds from shrapnel."

A second United Hatzalah medic, Davidi Dahan said emergency responders were looking for additional victims who may have fled the scene of the shooting.

"When I arrived at the scene I saw two young people who were suffering from gunshot wounds outside of a restaurant at the Sarona center. We treated them as well as numerous other individuals who were suffering from shock. While we were treating them, other volunteers form the ambu-cycle unit of United Hatzalah reported that they were treating an unconscious woman behind the Sarona center and that she was in critical condition. We are currently searching for and treating other people who are suffering from shock and who have fled to nearby streets due to the incident."

This is a developing story.

3. EYEWITNESSES: THE TERRORISTS 'SLAUGHTERED PEOPLE'
by Yoni Kempinski

Eyewitnesses to Wednesday's deadly shooting attack in Tel Aviv said the terrorists responsible "slaughtered people".

"We were inside the Max Brenner restaurant, we sat at the table, suddenly there was someone in front of me and he fired shots," one witness told Channel 2 News.

"We did not know what to do, all the people were screaming and we ran away," she added. "I saw him. He was standing right in front of me, he was wearing black clothing, he was thinly built and holding a gun. He fired shots and people ran away. We fled the restaurant and went inside the marketplace, but people were also running out of there, so we hid in the restaurant."

Another eyewitness said, "We were inside the Max Brenner restaurant and saw the terrorist firing at people until he ran out of bullets. He threw the gun under one of the seats. I tried to help the injured and when I saw the paramedics arrive, I left."

"I was in a taxi on Carlebach Street when I heard the shots," said Ronen, a taxi driver. "I got out of the cab, I heard people shout 'enough', running in all directions hysterically, I also heard an explosion. I saw a terrorist who security forces had on the floor, shot and bound and one more terrorist who was neutralized on the floor. He just slaughtered people, it was crazy, I hope that the Defense Minister will do what is necessary."

Three people were killed and six were wounded in the attack at the Sarona Market.

One victim is reportedly in critical condition, while two are in serious condition.

The venue of the attack, Sarona, an old Templar village incorporated into Tel Aviv, is a popular tourist destination.

4. DANON DEMANDS THAT THE UN CONDEMN TERRORISM
by Uzi Baruch

Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, on Wednesday evening called on the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council to condemn terrorism in the wake of the terrorist attack in Tel Aviv in which three people were killed and numerous people were injured.

"Today's heinous attack sadly proves that when the international community refuses to condemn terror against Israelis, the next attack is only a matter of time. Terror in Tel Aviv must be treated the same as terror in Paris or Istanbul," Danon said.

"I call on the Security Council and the Secretary General to unequivocally condemn this murderous Palestinian attack. They must demand that the Palestinian leadership put an immediate end to their hateful rhetoric which incites terrorism," he added.

Three people were killed and six were wounded in the attack at the Sarona Market. One victim is reportedly in critical condition, while two are in serious condition.

The wounded victims were taken to the Ichilov Hospital for treatment.

Eyewitnesses to the deadly shooting attack told Channel 2 News that the two terrorists responsible "slaughtered people".

The venue of the attack, the Sarona Market, an old Templar village incorporated into Tel Aviv, is a popular tourist destination.

7. 14-YEAR-OLD INJURED IN TEL AVIV EXPLOSION
by Arutz Sheva Staff

A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured in an explosion in Tel Aviv, according to initial reports.

Magen David Adom paramedics treated the young victim at the scene before transferring him to Ichilov Hospital.

It is not yet known what caused the blast, which occurred next to a local kindergarten along Aliyat Hanoar Street.

MDA sources claimed it was caused by an "object" which exploded, and said the teenage victim was in his home at the time of the blast.

Tel Aviv district police reported Wednesday afternoon that it appeared the object in question was likely a firecracker or flare, and probably not a bomb or grenade. Police added that it seems that the boy was playing with the object before it detonated.

The boy suffered a serious wound to his upper body but did not lose consciousness.

Updates to follow.

8. NETANYAHU VOWS: 'SYRIA WON'T BE A LAUNCHPAD AGAINST ISRAEL'
by Nitsan Keidar

After meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday held a conference with the leaders of Moscow's Jewish community where he spoke about Israeli activity in Syria.

[youtube:2016034]

The event, which was held during Netanyahu's official visit to Russia, was attended by around 100 community leaders and businessmen including Russian Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar, Moscow Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt and Russian Jewish Federation chief Yuri Kanner.

During the meeting, Netanyahu was asked about Syria and the future of relations with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, whose regime is being propped up primarily by Russian and Iran.

"You ask about the future of (Israel's) relations with President Assad? I would ask what is the future of President Assad in general?," replied Netanyahu, noting on the internecine civil war that has raged since 2011.

"We do not interfere in this issue. We're making sure that Syria won't become a launchpad for attacks against Israel."

He clarified that Israel is ensuring it will not be attacked from Syria by taking occasional action, and said the IDF will strike Syrian and Iranian troops or Hezbollah terrorists and members of other Islamist groups in the region if they pose a threat to the Jewish state.

"There are enough enemies. My policy is to take all necessary steps to prevent attacks, and we act from time to time when the need arises," he acknowledged.

The statement is one of the few times Netanyahu has admitted Israeli activity over the border.

While Arab reports had long alleged that Israeli jets conducted airstrikes on arms transfers for Iran's Lebanese terror proxy Hezbollah, Israel has remained tight-lipped on the subject. However, last December Netanyahu acknowledged that Israel is active in Syria.

In his remarks on Wednesday regarding Syria, Netanyahu added that, "I also ordered to build a field hospital that helped thousands of Syrians, babies, children, women, and men, with awful wounds. We are treating them there and at our hospitals. Humanitarian aid and a firm stand on our lines for the security of Israel."

Noting on the fractured nature of Syria, he said, "I don't know if it is possible to turn the Syrian omelette back into an egg."

"The countries around us, Syria among them, some of them have already split apart, and therefore a different arrangement is needed. I spoke with President Putin about this at length, and the important thing is that what replaces them (the countries) doesn't bring more tragedies and does not endanger our countries."

While Netanyahu did not elaborate what the "different arrangement" in the Middle East that he spoke with Putin about would consist of, he recently has expressed willingness to hold negotiations with the Palestinian Authority (PA) as well as states such as Egypt in working on a regional peace deal. Details of what such a deal might entail remain unclear.

Netanyahu also noted on the growing ties between Israel and Russia during the meeting, and thanked the Jewish leaders for being instrumental in making that happen.
