1. ATTACK VICTIM DESCRIBES TERRORIST TRYING TO DRAG HER FROM CAR
by Reut Hadar
Twenty-three-year-old Rotem Aharoni from Had Nes was driving to work when an Arab man in a grey kaftan threw a large rock at her car.
Rotem slammed on the breaks and the car struck a safety rail. The Arab then ran towards her, opened the door and tried to force her out of the vehicle, all the while yelling in Arabic.
Rotem fought back and pushed him away. Afterwards, the man ran to another vehicle that had arrived, tried to open the door, and then fled.
Another person at the scene came to assist Rotem and helped her exit the car. He also called her family and the police.
MDA first responders treated Aharoni and evacuated her to Poria Hospital in Tiberias, where doctors said that she was lightly wounded. "I want to thank everyone who helped me during the incident and called for security forces," she said.
About an hour on the run, the attacker reached the fields of Kibbutz Degania Bet. A kibbutz security official saw him and told him to stop. When the Arab continued approaching, he opened fire at the suspect's lower body.
So far, the police investigation has determined that the Arab man is a Jordanian citizen who is believed to have infiltrated into Israel and wanted to hijack a vehicle on Highway 90.
2. MK BITON: ZIONIST UNION IS WAGING A PILLOW FIGHT ON ZOABI
by Hezki Baruch
Coalition head David Biton (Likud) says that he will continue promoting the Suspension Bill, after the Zionist Union refused to present a private bill to remove MK Haneen Zoabi (Joint List) from the Knesset.
MK Biton, with the agreement of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, had told Yitzhak Herzog (Zionist Union) that he would freeze the Suspension Bill on condition that the opposition introduces a law to remove Zoabi.
However, the Zionist Union refused the offer and instead preferred MK Eitan Cabel's (Zionist Union) suggestion to leave the Knesset Assembly whenever Zoabi gives a speech.
"There was a golden opportunity to remove Zoabi from the Knesset once and for all, and the Zionist Union thwarted the process," said Biton. "The plan to leave the Assembly each time Haneen Zoabi gives a speech is like getting punched and responding with a pillow fight."
He added that "Instead of removing Zoabi from the Knesset they suggest removing themselves from the Assembly. It's a sad joke."
3. JORDANIAN ARAB INJURES ISRAELI DRIVER IN ROCK ATTACK
by Arutz Sheva Staff
An Israeli woman was lightly injured on Friday morning, after a terrorist hit her car with a rock. The incident occurred on Highway 90, between Afikim and Ashdot Ya'akov.
After her car was struck, the woman swerved off the road and hit a security barrier. A Jordanian Arab then came from a nearby orchard and began struggling with the victim, trying to force her out of the car.
Another driver passing by saw what was happening and chased after the suspect, who fled back into the grove.
Police searched the area and found the suspected perpetrator. He was shot in the leg and arrested. He will be taken for questioning.
4. HILLARY CLINTON FACES RENEWED E-MAIL INVESTIGATION
by Matt Wanderman
The US State Department is reopening its investigation into presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's misuse of classified information.
Earlier this week, the FBI recommended not filing criminal charges against Clinton for hosting her e-mail on private servers, despite acknowledging that she acted in an "extremely careless" manner.
The State Account inquiry is not as serious as the FBI's, though it will also investigate some of Clinton's former aides from when she was Secretary of State.
A department spokesperson said, "We will aim to be as expeditious as possible, but we will not put artificial deadlines on the process."
The most serious punishment available would be to revoke Clinton's security clearance. Even if this were to be the outcome, it would almost certainly have no effect should Clinton win the election.
5. 'PROBABLE' EGYPTAIR DEBRIS WASHES UP ON ISRAELI BEACH
by Arutz Sheva Staff
Aircraft debris believed to have come from an EgyptAir crash in May has washed up on a beach near Tel Aviv, an official in the Prime Minister's office said Friday.
"Debris has been collected and there is a high probability that it originates from the Egyptian plane," the official in Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's office said.
Netanyahu has instructed that the plane parts found on a beach in the coastal town of Netanya on Thursday be handed over to Egypt, he said.
Experts are still investigating the cause of the May 19 crash of the Airbus A320 which went down in the eastern Mediterranean on a flight from Paris to Cairo, killing all 66 people on board.
Investigators have said the plane's wreckage showed signs of fire, while a data recorder has confirmed that smoke alarms had been activated.

6. PRAYER CAMPAIGN TO HELP SARA NETANYAHU
by Michal Levy
Likud activist Lior Harari has initiated a prayer project in support of Sara Netanyahu.
Using the Facebook page We Love Sara Netanyahu, which he runs, Harari called on Likud supporters to join him in a trip to the graves of tzaddikim (holy figures) in order to "offer prayers for the Prime Minister's wife as she is attacked in the media."
The group's main destination will be the grave of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, on Mount Meron.
Under the headline "Tour of tzaddikim's graves for the benefit of Ms. Sara Netanyahu," Harari wrote that he "expects to see hundreds of participants. Ms. Sara Netanyahu is loved by Likud members who feel that she has suffered a long campaign of attacks and smears from the media."
As for the costs of the trip, "every participant will bear his own costs and will need to pay about 150 shekels ($39 US). The event will take place on Monday, September 5, and will last for several hours."
7. DALLAS: SNIPERS KILL 4 COPS DURING PROTESTS AGAINST POLICE
by Matt Wanderman
A protest against police brutality in the US state of Texas turned deadly as eleven police officers were shot on Thursday evening.
Dallas police Chief David Brown says that two snipers carried out the attack while waiting in elevated positions. Four officers are dead.
"Let's all come together and support our police officers," he said. "I've never been as proud. I believe we've got to one of the best forces in the nation, and we've done things with civil rights in the right way, and we've done it for the safety of our citizens. So please, let's come together now as a city."
The Dallas Police Department asked the public to help find one of the suspects. A picture depicts him as an African-American man in a camouflage shirt and carrying a rifle.
He has since turned himself in, and is not classified as a "person of interest" rather than a suspect. Another reported suspect is also in custody.
Authorities believe that the suspects also threatened to set off a bomb in downtown Dallas. The explosives squad is currently dealing with a suspicious object found near the second suspect's location.
Protests have been spreading around the United States after police were filmed killing two African-American men.
