Help former Gush Katif residents this Passover

Dear Friend, Passover is the Holiday commemorating our freedom from bondage. The people who lived in Gush Katif gave up their freedom for all of us. They built lives on the border and were the only line of defense between terrorism and the rest of Israel. Showing our support for them is an opportunity to give something back and it is part of our communal responsibility as a Jewish Nation. As we celebrate Passover, what better way than to give joy to our brothers and sisters who are still suffering to this day. While many former residents of Gush Katif have settled down to normal lives, there are still many who have not. We are writing to you before Pesach, to try and make the holiday more joyous for those still living in need and under extreme duress and poverty like conditions.  Many of you have helped over the past ten plus years to lessen the hardships these modern day heroes have endured, especially during the holidays. Passover is almost upon us and many families do not have the basic necessities to get them through the holiday. These families struggle throughout the entire year so you can only imagine the added stress and pressure these families face as the very expensive Passover holiday approaches. Yachdav will be supplying many of these basic necessities such as matzoh, wine, chicken, meat, eggs, oil, canned goods, fresh fruits and even cleaning supplies. Each package for a family of five has a cost of $250. All in all, Yachdav provides assistance for over 400 families. OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS NEED OUR HELP. WE ARE DOING WHATEVER WE CAN BUT WE CANNOT DO THIS ALONE.
