1. TRUMP: THERE'S NO LONGER A NUCLEAR THREAT FROM NORTH KOREA
by Arutz Sheva Staff

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced that there is no longer a nuclear threat from North Korea.

"Just landed - a long trip, but everybody can now feel much safer than the day I took office," he tweeted.

"There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea.

"Meeting with Kim Jong Un was an interesting and very positive experience. North Korea has great potential for the future!"

Trump met with North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un on Tuesday, agreeing that in the future, both leaders would visit each others' countries.

North Korea's official KCNA news agency said, "Kim Jong Un and Trump had the shared recognition to the effect that it is important to abide by the principle of step-by-step and simultaneous action in achieving peace, stability and denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula."

2. IDF TO REDUCE SUPPLY OF HELIUM TO GAZA STRIP
by Arutz Sheva Staff

Following the directive of Defense Minester Avigdor Liberman, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, Major General Kamil Abu Rokon, today ordered the restriction of the entry of helium gas into the Gaza Strip.

The step was taken in response to the use of helium balloons by terrorists in the Gaza Strip to set fire to Israeli fields by attaching incendiary devices to the balloons.

Maj. Gen. Rokon stated that if the terrorist groups in Gaza continue to use helium gas to attack Israeli territory, then the IDF would ban all supply of helium to the strip.

"The Hamas terrorist organization does not hesitate to take measures, including exploiting the humanitarian channels and means to carry out terrorist acts, despite Israel's efforts to prevent a civil deterioration in the Gaza Strip and the provision of humanitarian needs," he said.

Earlier, Defense Minister Liberman accused Hamas of diverting helium from Gazan hospitals for use in the incendiary balloons.

"The helium we supply to hospitals, medical equipment, mainly for MRIs - instead of this helium going to those patients who need MRIs, they use it [for these weaponized balloons] and ignite fields here in the south."

3. HOSTAGE SITUATION IN PARIS
by Tal Polon

An armed man is holding three hostages, possibly including a pregnant woman, in a building in northern Paris, reports say.

The man claims to have a handgun and a bomb, and demands to speak with the Iranian embassy and French government.

Police have surrounded the building in Rue des Petites Écuries, and streets in the area have been sealed off. Police anti-explosive robots are patrolling the street outside the building.

French special forces are currently in negotiations with the hostage-taker.

The hostage-taker told police that one hostage is “seriously injured” after he hit the victim with a wrench, according to the Express.

According to reports cited by The Guardian, the hostage-taker entered the building by pretending to be a food delivery courier. He hit one man, who managed to flee, in the face. A pregnant woman also managed to flee and is being treated for shock.

The hostage-taker told police negotiators that he has a letter for the Iranian ambassador, which he wants the ambassador to hand to French authorities.

Police have said they do not believe the incident to be terror-related.

4. FIFA TO OPEN DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS AGAINST JIBRIL RAJOUB
by Orly Harari

The 68th FIFA Congress rejected out of hand (82% vs 18%) Palestinian Football Association (PFA) President Jibril Rajoub's demand to sanction and suspend countries which have violated citizens' rights.

The Congress also noted that similar sections are already included in their rules, and the PFA's suggestion is therefore extraneous.

FIFA also told the Israel Football Association (IFA) of its decision to open a disciplinary process against Rajoub, due to his verbal incitement prior to the planned game with Argentina.

In his speech, Rajoub encouraged burning Messi shirts if he played in Israel, and compared modern Israel to Nazi Germany.

The Argentina-Israel match was canceled after terrorist organizations sent messages and threats to the team’s players and their families, with explicit threats to harm their lives and their family's lives.

FA Chairman Ofer Eini said, "This is a recurring ritual in which Rajoub attempts to lead FIFA decisions against our football [teams] and against the State of Israel."

"Thanks to proper and thoughtful work, we succeeded in explaining to FIFA members what the motivating factor behind these apparently innocent suggestions are, and that the person suggesting them has crossed every red line.

"We have a true friend in FIFA...and therefore Rajoub fails time after time. Israeli football will continue to be part of the international community, and the State of Israel will continue to enjoy support in the world football association.

by Mordechai Sones

At a ceremony held last night at Kfar Tapuah in Samaria, Israel Dog Unit (IDU) volunteers and families of missing people gathered for a "Salute to IDU volunteers".

Volunteers from throughout the country, led by unit commander Mike Ben Yaakov, gathered to meet and get to know missing persons' relatives, including families of missing persons who have not yet been located.

6. TRUMP: ROBERT DE NIRO IS A 'VERY LOW IQ INDIVIDUAL'
by Arutz Sheva Staff

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday evening slammed Hollywood actor Robert De Niro, saying he needs to "wake up."

In a tweet, Trump wrote, "Robert De Niro, a very Low IQ individual, has received to many shots to the head by real boxers in movies. I watched him last night and truly believe he may be 'punch-drunk.'"

"I guess he doesn’t realize the economy is the best it’s ever been with employment being at an all time high, and many companies pouring back into our country. Wake up Punchy!"

At a recent performance, De Niro recently used foul language to describe Trump, saying, "I’m going to say this, f— Trump" and later adding: "It’s no longer just down with Trump, it’s f— Trump.

De Niro's statements about Trump are not new: In October 2016, De Niro called Trump "blatantly stupid" and said, "He’s a punk, a dog, he’s a pig."

"I'd like to punch him in the face."

7. TRUMP: KIM AGREED TO COMPLETE DE-NUCLEARIZATION
by David Rosenberg

President Donald Trump addressed reporters Tuesday at a press conference following his historic meeting with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un at the Capella Hotel in Sentosa, Singapore.

Following the 45-minute meeting, Trump and Kim sat down for a signing ceremony, putting their signatures to a document both sides described as “historic”, without revealing any details.

Shortly after the signing, President Trump promised to reveal the nature of the agreement at today’s press conference.

At the conference, Trump touted the signing of the agreement, saying it was the result of three months of negotiations between the US and North Korea, as well as 24 “tremendous” hours of work between the US and North Korean delegations since their arrival in Singapore for Tuesday’s summit.

"We've had a tremendous 24 hours - really three months, since this has been going on for quite a while."

North Korea, Trump said is ready to embrace its “tremendous” potential, and that Kim Jong Un was ready to “do what’s right”.

"Is a great place, it has the potential to be an incredible place,” said Trump of North Korea.

"It's got tremendous potential and I think he understands that and [Kim] wants to do what's right."

Trump hailed the agreement signed with Kim as being “very comprehensive’, saying it was the product of “very intensive” work between himself and the North Korean dictator.

"We spent very intensive hours together. The signed document is...very comprehensive. It is going to happen."

"I stand before you as an emissary of the American people to deliver a message of hope and a vision of peace."

"My meeting with Chairman Kim was honest, direct, and productive. We got to know each other very well in a very confined period of time under very strong, strong circumstances."

"We are prepared to start a new history."

The president also vowed to end the decades-old Korean War, which was suspended by an armistice in 1953, though never officially ended.

"Nearly 70 years ago... an extremely bloody conflict ravaged the Korean Peninsula. Countless people died in the conflict, including tens of thousands of brave Americans.

"Yet, while the armistice was agreed to, the war never ended. But now we can all have hope that it will soon end. And it will soon end. The past does not have to define the future.

"As history has proven over and over again, adversaries can indeed become friends. We can honor the sacrifice of our forefathers by replacing the horrors of battle with the blessings of peace. That's what we are doing and that's what we have done."

Turning to the contents of the agreement itself, the president said it included a commitment to achieve total denuclearization of Korea, with promises to pursue “vigorous negotiations” to that end.

"Kim and I just signed a joint statement in which he reaffirmed his complete commitment to denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. We also agreed to vigorous negotiations to implement the agreement as soon as possible. And he wants to do that.”

In terms of concrete steps towards that end, the president pointed to Pyongyang’s demolition of a ballistic missile testing site.

"This isn't the past. This isn't another administration that never got it started and therefore never got it done. Chairman Kim has told me that North Korea is already destroying a major missile engine testing site. That isn't in the signed document - we agreed to that after the agreement was signed."

Trump hinted that the North Korean leader had pledged to begin implementation of the agreement immediately upon his arrival back to Pyongyang.

"I know for a fact that as soon as [Kim] arrives [back home], he's going to start a process that's going to make a lot of people very happy and very safe."

8. IMPROVEMENT IN YOUNG STABBING VICTIM'S CONDITION
by Mordechai Sones

Another improvement was reported in the condition of Shuva Malka, the 18-year-old girl who was stabbed in Afula yesterday.

Emek Hospital, where she is hospitalized in the intensive care unit, reports her condition to be moderate to severe and stable.

The Shin Bet security service announced yesterday the stabbing incident was a nationalistic attack, and that the terrorist, Nur Shinawi from Jenin, linked himself to the attack. His relatives in Jenin were interrogated to determine which of them knew of his intentions and other arrests were expected, mainly of collaborators in the attack.

Even before the announcement, Shuva's parents said they were demanding that police define the incident a terrorist attack. "Any other attitude degrades and reduces the incident," said the parents at Haemek Hospital in Afula.

"Our daughter was attacked at a bus stop, on the way to a citizenship exam," Malka recalls. "She was a righteous child, an innocent saint, and a wicked, cruel terrorist suddenly emerged, and all he wanted was to tear her to shreds because she was Jewish, and she looked very Jewish; very modest and virtuous."
