Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) agents, together with IDF forces of the Menashe Regional Brigade, seized 15 improvised assault rifles overnight in the Palestinian Arab village of Ya'bad, near Jenin in northern Samaria.

The location of the weapons stash was revealed during a Shin Bet interrogation of a Palestinian weapons manufacturer.

The successful mission was only the latest phase of an ongoing joint Shin Bet-IDF counter-terrorism operation in Samaria.

A similar raid as part of the same operation netted assault rifles, pistols and other weapons last month.

Several recent shooting attacks by Arab terrorists have been carried out using locally-manufactured automatic weapons, underlining the serious security threat posed by such illegal weapons traffickers.

Oscar-winning actor Dustin Hoffman's father never spoke about his family's painful past as Jewish refugees from Soviet brutality.

But in a recent episode of PBS's Finding Your Roots, the 78-year-old star finally uncovered the truth.

Hoffman broke down in tears as show host Henry Louis Gates Jr. showed him medical records belonging to his great-grandmother Libba, who against all odds managed to enter the US despite having lost an arm and part of her eyesight during a harsh, five-year stint in a Russian communist concentration camp, or gulag.

According to the Ellis Island medical records, Libba was also described as "senile" upon arrival - but that evidently didn't stop her rebuilding her life in Chicago, where she died aged 76 in 1944.

Her husband and son were both killed by the Cheka, the Soviet Union's secret police. After surviving five years of cruelty in the camp, Libba escaped and fled to Argentina, before moving to America.

In a clip from the season finale of the series, which uncovers celebrities' family history, Gates Jr. tells Hoffman: "This is the hero of your family tree," as he makes the revelations - kept secret from Hoffman since childhood.

"She was a hero," Hoffman responded, before breaking down in tears.

"People ask me today: 'What are you?' I say, 'I'm a Jew,' " the Hollywood star continued, fighting through the tears. "They all survived for me to be here."

3. REPORT CLEARS POLICE OF WRONGDOING OVER TEL AVIV SHOOTING
by Arutz Sheva Staff

A report released on Sunday by the Inspector General of Israel's police department addressed wide-spread criticism of how Israeli police handled a terrorist man-hunt following a series of terror attacks by Nashat Melhelm in January.

At the crux of the investigation was the alleged failure of a police call center to properly handle information it had received regarding the location of the terrorist.

Following the attacks that left three Israelis dead, two restaurant workers spotted Melhelm on a bus headed north. The two recognized Melhelm from TV broadcasts and noticed his bloody shirt and backpack. They quickly notified both the bus driver and their employer of their suspicions.

The employer, Guy Kokush, quickly called the police to notify them of the reported sighting.

When Kokush missed a call from a blocked number and attempted to call back to the police to speak with investigators, the receptionist at the call center refused to connect Kokush directly, instead giving him a number to call by himself.

Following the attacks, Melhelm evaded police for days, before he was finally located and killed by security forces.

In the report, the Inspector General vindicated police handling of the incident. The report revealed that the tip on Melhelm's whereabouts was sent five hours after the attack, and security forces were already en route to the terrorist's home in Wadi Ara.

According to the Inspector General's report, while the poor handling of the Kokush's follow-up call reflected badly on the police call center, the actual tip concerning Melhelm's location was written and passed along properly.

The information he provided was taken into consideration, and while a proper follow-up call between investigators and Kokush would have been appropriate in keeping Kokush updated, the failure to do so did not impact the investigation or harm public security.

4. SECOND GAZAN CONFIRMED DEAD IN TERROR TUNNEL COLLAPSE
by Arutz Sheva Staff

A second Gazan was found dead Sunday after the collapse of a tunnel on the Egypt border, the interior ministry in the Islamist Hamas-run enclave said.

On Thursday, rescue services said seven men had been trapped in the collapse.

Five were rescued, but on Sunday the ministry said they had retrieved the body of Mohammed Abbas of Rafah, after announcing the death of a man named as Fadi Abu Dan.

A local civil defense official described the underground passage from the southern Gaza town of Rafah into neighboring Egypt as a "trade tunnel", a euphemism for smuggling tunnels via which goods, cash, weapons and fighters are transported into Gaza.

The cave-in was caused by Egyptian flooding of the border zone in its campaign to stop smuggling, the official told AFP.

Since January 26, at least 12 Gazans have been killed in five separate tunnel collapses with both Israel and Egypt operating against the diggers.

An Israeli blockade severely restricts the movement of people and goods into and out of the territory, as part of measures to prevent sophisticated weapons making their way into the hands of terrorists sworn to Israel's destruction. Egypt's sole border with Gaza has also remained largely closed since 2013.

AFP contributed to this report.

5. WATCH: MAN KILLED IN TEL AVIV CAR BOMB
by Yoni Kempinski

A man in his 40s was critically injured in an explosion in Tel Aviv, in what appears to be a gangland-related bombing.

Witnesses described seeing a jeep bursting into flames after a loud explosion on Moshe Sneh street in northern Tel Aviv.

Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics provided first aid treatment to the single casualty, who had incurred "very serious" injuries to his limbs, before evacuating him to Ichilov Hospital.

Shortly after his arrival, however, the victim succumbed to his wounds.

Firefighters were calling to put out the blaze as well as to aid in extracting the victim from the car.

Police say at this point they are treating the incident as criminal, not terrorism-related.

According to reports the victim, who has not yet been publicly identified, had agreed to testify against a leading gangster in a high-profile court case.

6. 'YOU KILLED JESUS'; BOSTON BASKETBALL GAME MARRED BY HATE
by Arutz Sheva Staff

What was supposed to be a friendly game of high school basketball descended to vulgarities and bigotry on Friday night just outside of Boston.

The division title game pitted the Catholic Memorial School against the largely Jewish Newton North High School.

Witnesses reported that around 100 spectators cheering on Catholic Memorial chanted "You killed Jesus, you killed Jesus" during the game.

Some Jewish spectators were disturbed by the explicitly anti-Semitic chant.

ESPN's Brendan Hall, who covers high school sports in the Boston area, blasted the incident, calling on the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association to punish Catholic Memorial for their fans' behavior.

"I'm serious," he wrote on Twitter. "MIAA should consider fining schools whose fans use hate speech. I'm sick of deal with these stories."

Hall later noted that Catholic Memorial School condemned the chant and ordered fans to apologize to Newton North High School.

Some witnesses also noted that Newton North's fans also used obnoxious and vulgar rhetoric, mocking Catholic Memorial School for being an all-male institution.

7. WATCH: TRUMP SUPPORTER SHOUTS 'GO TO AUSCHWITZ' AT OHIO RALLY
by Ari Soffer

[youtube:2013387]

Video of a Donald Trump supporter telling a journalist and protesters to "go to Auschwitz" has gone viral, once more highlighting concerns over the populist GOP frontrunner's campaign.

The video, shot in Cleveland on Saturday during a Trump rally, shows an unidentified man turning towards a Dutch reporter and shouting "Go to Auschwitz! Go to f***ing Auschwitz!"

Someone behind the cameras then shouts "I got that on camera!"

The incident has been seized upon by Trump critics as further proof of the Republican candidate's worrying tendency to rally far-right and other extremists to his corner. Trump recently came under fire for hesitating to disavow support from notorious White Supremacist David Duke, and for a rally in which supporters were encouraged to raise their hands and pledge allegiance in what some critics claim bore the hallmarks of Nazi rallies.

For his part, Trump has rejected all such accusations, and the billionaire business man did eventually disavow Duke.

The weekend saw clashes at Illinois and Ohio as anti-Trump protesters disrupted his campaign events in those cities, clashing violently with supporters and the police.

8. TERROR WAVE BE DAMNED: AMERICANS ARE STILL MAKING ALIYAH
by Yoni Kempinski

The security situation in Israel may be tense, but that won't be stopping yet another wave of North American olim from making Israel their new home soon.

Arutz Sheva spoke to some of the soon-to-be-Israelis making aliyah with Nefesh B'Nefesh at last week's aliyah event in New York - many of whom said the current wave of terrorism only made them more determined to move.
