1. JERUSALEM ARABS PLANNED TO ASSASSINATE NETANYAHU
by Ido Ben-Porat

The attorney's office on Friday submitted indictments against two Arab residents of eastern Jerusalem for running an explosives lab, providing aid to an enemy in wartime, and being in contact with a foreign agent - and planning to assassinate the prime minister.

The two terrorists were named as 22-year-old Hazam Sanduka and 19-year-old Fahdi Abu Kia'an, and they are part of a wide Hamas terror cell busted last month.

According to the indictment, the two helped a Hamas terrorist in preparing terror attacks with explosives.

The Hamas terrorist rented an apartment in Abu Dis just to the east of Jerusalem, and obtained chemicals through the help of Sanduka, who was told how to prepare explosives and was asked to locate appropriate targets for shooting attacks.

The terrorist wanted to prepare two liters of explosives, and to smuggle them into Jerusalem in Sanduka's car.

Sanduka, who in the past worked for a security firm in Jerusalem, suggested planting a bomb at the Jerusalem Payis Arena, underneath the stage to be detonated as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu gave a speech.

The two planned the assassination, but did not determine a date to launch the attack.

Abu Kia'an, an active supporter of Islamic State (ISIS), planned to transfer weapons from Judea and Samaria into sovereign Israeli territory so as to conduct shooting attacks.

A full 25 Arab suspects were rounded up as part of the investigation that uncovered the terror cell in Abu Dis, with a majority of the terrorists being students at Abu Dis University.

Hamas has been active in eastern Jerusalem, as evidenced by a shocking massive funeral for a terrorist held earlier this week in the northeast neighborhood of Shuafat, in which hundreds of Hamas terrorists fired in the air with automatic weapons.

2. EXPOSED: RADICAL LEFTIST GETS PA TO EXECUTE PALESTINIANS
by Ari Yashar

A group of nationalist activists has succeeded in infiltrating radical leftist groups, and exposed how extreme leftist activist Ezra Nawi passes information on Palestinian Arabs interested in selling land to Jews and has them executed by the Palestinian Authority (PA).

The PA has long outlawed the sale of land to Jews in Judea and Samaria, and has made no secret of its position of executing Arab sellers. Nawi admitted he knew that by passing the Arabs' names to the PA he was handing them a death sentence.

The expose regarding Nawi's role in it all was revealed by Channel 2 on Thursday, and is to be aired as an investigative piece in full on Friday in the channel's TV show "Uvda."

Nawi, who is mostly active in the southern Har Hevron region of Judea, was born in Jerusalem to Jewish immigrants from Iraq, and is a fluent Arabic speaker.

He was arrested several times in the past, including for assaulting police officers, and also served half a year in jail for statutory rape over his sexual relations with a 15-year-old Palestinian boy in the early 1990s. He has also been revealed to be a supporter of Hamas.

In recent months intrepid right-wing activists managed to have planted agents infiltrate the radical leftist circles and follow Nawi's activities on the ground, without him being aware. One of the agents was even able to get very close to Nawi.

The planted agent managed to record Nawi giving testimony as to how he takes the names of Palestinians who want to sell land to Jews and hands them over to the PA Security Forces, fully aware of the bitter fate in store for them.

"I give them directly to the Palestinian security services," Nawi was caught on camera saying.

When asked what the PA Security Forces do with the Arab sellers, he responded, "they catch them, and kill them."

In response to the report, Nawi said in a statement, "the broadcast of this piece is part of the effort to harm my activities and the activities of my friends by the side of the Palestinian population in southern Har Hevron. It isn't I who set a trap for the land seller. The opposite is true."

3. PM SLAMS 'HYPOCRISY' OF LEFTISTS FUELING PA EXECUTIONS
by Hezki Ezra

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu responded on Friday to an investigative report that appeared last night on Channel 2's "Uvda" show, which revealed how radical leftist activists hand Palestinian Arabs over to the Palestinian Authority (PA) to be executed.

Right-wing activists infiltrated leftist groups and caught the activist Ezra Nawi on camera saying he gives the PA the names of Arabs who are interested in selling land to Jews, so that the PA can torture and "kill them." Other radical leftists were also exposed involved in the activities.

"The investigative piece published yesterday on the 'Uvda' program revealed the true face of radicals among us, who were driven crazy by hatred of the settlements, which brought them to hand over innocents to torture and execution," said Netanyahu.

According to the prime minister, "the investigative report served as additional testimony to the cruel conduct of the Palestinian Authority, which tortures and murders Palestinians whose only 'crime' is selling land to Jews."

The PA has long had a law banning the sale of land to Jews in Judea and Samaria, and has made no secret of its policy of executing Arab sellers.

"These serious matters obligate a complete condemnation from all sections of the Israeli society, which denounces acts of murder and fights all terror. Those who encourage murder cannot continue to hide behind the hypocritical mask of 'taking care of human rights.'"

4. B'TSELEM DEFENDS EXECUTING PALESTINIANS WHO SELL LAND TO JEWS
by Matt Wanderman

The purported human rights organization B'Tselem has expressed its support for Nasser Nawajiya, one of its members who was found to be providing the Palestinian Authority (PA) with the identities of Arabs who sell their property to Jews.

In an expose by the TV show "Uvda" on Thursday, Nawajiya and far-left Israeli Jewish activist Ezra Nawi admitted to doing so in order to allow the PA to torture and execute the sellers.

B'Tselem acknowledged the deeds in a Facebook post, but chose to defend Nawajiya rather than to denounce him.

"Nasser Nawajiya, who is mentioned in the report, is a B'Tselem field operative in southern Har Hevron, but he is also a Palestinian from the village of Khirbet Susya... When he found out about a Palestinian with Israeli citizenship who pretended to be a real estate salesperson and offered to sell land, part of which belonged to [Nawajiya's] family, he reported it to the Palestinian authorities."

"This is the only legitimate channel for a Palestinian, given that Israeli authorities do not defend Palestinian landowners in the area from settlers taking over their land," wrote B'Tselem.

The alleged "crime" that is being reported is selling property to a Jew, which is illegal under the Palestinian Authority and punishable by death.

B'Tselem added that it "opposes all torture and all executions...whether they are done in Shin Bet (Israeli Security Agency) cellars or in the Palestinian Authority," but did not comment on the fact that the sales are reported with the full intention that the seller should be killed.

Ironically, the Facebook post attacked "Uvda" for basing its report on video footage, and claimed that the group behind the expose is politically motivated: "The program ignored the differences in power in the area as well as the question of who the right-wing organization serves and who stands behind it. It is not clear if 'Uvda" even checked the series of events."

B'Tselem is famous for providing video clips of IDF soldiers with little or no context, and is frequently accused of having sinister motives and supporters.

5. ISRAEL TO ASK PA FOR HELP FINDING TEL AVIV SHOOTER
by Ari Yashar

A full week after Arab Israeli terrorist Nashat Milhem gunned down three people in Tel Aviv, the massive manhunt after him continues, but reportedly Israel is now turning to the Palestinian Authority (PA) in a request for help.

According to Channel 10, the police are to officially request on Friday that PA Security Forces aid in the search for Milhem, apparently under the estimation that Milhem fled to PA controlled territories in Judea and Samaria.

Police have reportedly started two new methods of gathering information on the fugitive terrorist. First, they are dredging for information from illegal weapons dealers in the "triangle region" in the north that is home to over 300,000 Arab citizens of Israel, and they also have begun interrogating terrorist prisoners who were together with Milhem in jail.

The search has ended in Tel Aviv, and now is focused on Milhem's hometown of Wadi Ara in the north and the "triangle region" in general. Several of Milhem's family members, including his father, have been arrested on suspicions of having aided him in fleeing and hiding.

The Israeli Security Agency (ISA) and the police reportedly estimate that Milhem's father Mohammed, who previously volunteered in the police and has a license for an automatic weapon, is hiding information from them that could lead to Milhem's capture.

Mohammed Milhem's arrest was extended on Friday by another three days, after already having been extended several times this week.

Milhem has proven to be a crafty terrorist. It was revealed that he threw away his phone to avoid detection before gunning down Israelis at a pub on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv, murdering two and wounding several others.

On Thursday police revealed he disabled the cameras of a taxi he took after the attack, before shooting the driver dead; the driver's body was found an hour after the initial shooting last Friday.

Back in July 2007 Milhem was convicted of attacking a soldier with a screwdriver and attempting to steal his gun at Karkur Junction to the east of Hadera.

6. JAPANESE JEW JOINS THE IDF IN HIS GRANDPARENTS' FOOTSTEPS
by Ari Yashar

Daniel Tomohiro on Wednesday had his swearing-in ceremony to the Nahal Brigade's 50th Battalion at the Kotel (Western Wall) Plaza in Jerusalem - but as may be obvious by his last name, Tomohiro is not your average IDF soldier.

The new recruit who recently finished his basic training was raised in Iwata, Japan.

His Hungarian Jewish grandparents were Holocaust survivors who made aliyah and fought in the 1948 War of Independence, before moving to Australia where Tomohiro's mother married a Japanese man and moved to the land of the rising sun, reports JNS on Thursday.

"My 88-year-old grandfather Ivan lives in Sydney, Australia," Tomohiro told the news site. "He told me that he fought in an artillery (unit) during the War of Independence, in the Palmach (paramilitary organization), and was an instructor in an officer training course. My grandmother died when I was a child and I still don't know what she did in the Palmach."

Explaining how he wound up in Japan, he noted his parents met during a business trip his father took to Australia.

"My parents married and moved to Japan, but at home they kept talking about Israel. My family is very pro-Israel and loves the state, and I believe the Israel Defense Forces is the most moral military in the world."

"I felt very connected to the state, but I arrived here for the first time only when I was 18, with my parents and younger brother," he said. "My older brother had already made aliyah and was in the IDF Spokesperson's Unit. After I graduated high school in Japan, I returned to Israel, and four months ago I joined an IDF Hebrew course and later started basic training."

Tomohiro emphasized that serving in the army of the Jewish state "means a lot to me and my family."

"My grandmother was in Auschwitz. She survived only because a German nurse covered her with a blanket when Dr. Josef Mengele came to visit. He thought she was dead and this saved her life, because he didn't perform experiments on her," he said.

"I realized, after hearing such stories, that the Holocaust happened because there was no state of Israel. I am happy to contribute to the security of the state, to make the IDF and Israel strong, and to prevent another Holocaust."

7. SECOND FRIDAY STORM IN A ROW HITS ISRAEL
by Ari Yashar

In what seems to be becoming a weekly tradition, vortex winds and snow have descended upon Israel since the early morning hours of Friday, just a week after Israel's first winter snowstorm covered parts of the north with snow.

Heavy snow fell on Friday in the north on Mount Hermon, Israel's only ski site, and caused the site to be closed to visitors. Meanwhile Jerusalem has come in for howling winds and haze.

Rains are expected to spread throughout the day down into the northern Negev, and there are concerns of flooding in the Judean Desert and the Jordan Valley region. Overnight the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) in the north rose by two centimeters (just under an inch).

The Eilat and Sde Dov airports in the south are only open for takeoffs due to the harsh weather conditions and limited visibility, and Uvda airport in the Negev as well as the airport in Haifa have been completely closed. Ben Gurion International Airport is operating as usual.

However, the blustery weather is expected to only last a day, and is due to die down for Shabbat.

The Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) has stated that it is prepared for the storm, and has likewise reinforced its staff on the 103 telephone hotline for those reporting malfunctions and seeking updates.

The IEC notes that the heavy winds are liable to bring down electric lines and cause damage, and warns the public to make sure objects located in courtyards or on the roof are secured.

The temperature highs anticipated for Friday are: 11° C (52° F) in Katzrin on the Golan Heights, 9° C (48° F) in Tzfat (Safed), 16° C (61° F) in Haifa and Tel Aviv, 11° C in Jerusalem, 17° C (62° F) in Be'er Sheva, and a balmy 21° C (70° F) in Eilat.

Saturday is to see an improvement in the weather, and Sunday is expected to be partially cloudy to clear, with an additional increase in the temperature.
